I arrived shortly after my designated pick up time (9am, also the time the store opens) only to sit outside in the freezing cold and snow for 20-25 mins before someone arrived to open the store. I tried calling several numbers that I saw posted on the doors while waiting only to be answered by voicemails. His excuse for being late was that he was half way to his daughter’s school to drop her off when he found out they canceled school for the day. He then turned around and headed to work with his daughter but that story doesn’t make sense because if he was half way and then turned around that means he didn’t have to drive the other half to the school and back, essentially saving him time, so his excuse was quite literally just that, an excuse. He then assisted me very poorly by being very short with answers and wasted a lot of my time. He passed me a paper saying there ya go and didn’t tell me the code for my box until I asked. He just assumed I knew the word “good” was the code cause it was written on a piece of paper next to the written words “box 6”. He then told me to wait for him outside once I got the truck which I waited 10 more mins before going back inside only for him to say “oh no you’re good to go” so I sat there for nothing, wasting more of my time. He didn’t tell me how to drop off the vehicle either and when I returned ~40 mins before closing time he was already gone. I had to then figure out how to properly drop off the vehicle on my own which I searched through the emails and paperwork I received upon renting and didn’t find a single thing referring to drop off. I arrived before the business closed yet no one was there to assist me. I ended up parking exactly where I picked up the vehicle and then used the same “box 6” to relock the key. What company allows you to show up 20-25 mins late and then leave ~40 mins early? Are they hiring if so? All in all this was extremely frustrating and put a long strain on my day and messed up most of the plans I had planned for the day. Will never use this location again and potentially just never use U-haul again as this was very disappointing.
