I originally reserved a 15 foot truck. They asked if I wanted an upgrade because they didn’t have enough 15 foot ones and offered me a 20 foot. That was cool. They even took some money off making my total bill $280ish bucks. So when I go to pick it up the person says that will be 492 dollars. I said no I was told it wasn’t going to cost me more. So she said ok let me see. She calls UHAUL for help and they say we see it on our end he’s right. The discount wouldn’t apply. She called another guy who ended up being the one who called me about the deal. He tells her to make a new reservation and to redo it. He try’s himself 3/4 more times. Then says oh crap and charged me the $492 bucks. Needless to say that is not ok. You can take $492 from me but I have to wait days for a refund to come in? That’s just rude. A simple thing ended up costing me a bunch more money and took over an hour to do.

Roadside service and representative ruined it for me. She did not give a crap about the truck that was making noise! If was a long trip!!!

John BMy charges are incorrect. I was charged for equipment I didn’t receive, over miles I used, and it was far more difficult at pick up. I would like to be refunded for my dolly I didn’t receive, not having that made the move much harder: I would also like my charges updated for mileage. The pick up instructions were not clear saying box 5 and truck was back in lot. In the past, trucks were out front with proper equipment and I had expected a better customer service. Next time I will go to a different location and not recommend Alpha 9 again.
CHELSEA HMy only grip is at the location is obviously going to be closed on the weekend and between the U-Haul app and website it can get a little confusing finalizing final detail details before pick up. My original pick up was for 12 didn’t even get out of there until 130. I appreciate customer support giving me extra time with the vehicle due to the delay. But it seems a lot easier to go to a business. That’s either open on the weekends or whenever you need the vehicle or just the U-Haul store.
