Customer service at this location is very good. Polite, respectful, and helpful. That being said there was a very bad experience with the trailer hitch. I conveyed the problem to the rental establishment and discussed in length the problem with the hitch coming loose multiple times during our trip. First of all the gent who attached the hitch did everything correctly and even snapped a picture after attaching. The hitch could not be tightened any more than it had been. Within an hour of travel with trailer empty, I felt more movement from the trailer. When I got out to check, I found that the trailer came loose??? I reattached the trailer in the method I was shown, and continued on my trip where I would be loading around 600lbs of material. Needless to say at this point worrying about using this U-Haul trailer which was now loaded was NOT fun. I checked the connection after about 50 miles and the hitch was loose again? I tightened again? So basically this rental caused me time, worry and my safety, considering I had to find a safe place to pull over every hour to check. In discussing with the manager when returning he mention that U-Haul was phasing this type of hitch because of the problems!Accidents! I was a taken back a bit when no compensation was offered for all the time consuming problems and safety issues this rental caused me. Thank you for understanding.

Alan dI registered online. You sent me the address to pick up my 20' truck and said that I HAD TO ARRIVE ON TIME; I DID. There was no truck. I called U-Haul. Prompt after prompt after Prompt I could NOT get to a real person. Plus your prompts kept reminding ME of what I had to do to make YOU happy. 10-20 minute wait when I FINALLY GOT TO A PROMPT, that let me TRY to get to a representative. Finally called back again and hit the prompt that said I had a problem while using the truck. SHE WAS GREAT. She had me go back to 1212 E Main astreet Riverhead and go inside and ask where my truck was. The guy behind the counter ACTUALLY LAUGHED AT ME and told me they delivered it to the wrong address, but refused to tell me where! The woman (from Texas) on the phone finally located a truck for me at another location but it was a 26'. By the time I got there it was 9:30. Guess what. NOBODY AT THE PLACE. I walked around the warehouse YELLING to try and find someone. I finally went into an office, WITH AN OPEN DOOR AND A GUY WHO HAD WATCHED ME FOR 5 minutes yelling for help and walking around the whole place. AN AGWAY! A FEED STORE IN A WAREHOUSE. When I finally got the truck that was too fucking big for what I needed and for me to drive frankly! The gave me NO INSTRUCTION other than "it has half a tank of gas and you have to bring it back with the same" IT HAD JUST OVER A QUARTER TANK! I returned it with half, which cost me $35 dollars when I literally when 15 miles with the truck. HE SURE CHECKED THAT TIME! IGNORED ME UNTIL HE WANTED TO "INSPECT" WHAT I RETURNED! ALSO! I got CHARGED for a 26' truck! And the LOVELY WOMAN FROM TEXAS! (SHE WAS!) told me that I would be getting a $50 rebate or something from you for my troubles. I had to park the truck in the street and move my house too it, because I have low wires and my driveway is too small for the truck. Same with the new house. So I finally got my truck at 10am. Paid the guys I hired for that hour and my $62 dollar truck cost me $120z the woman from Texas gave me a customer service number to call if I did not get the $50 discount for my troubles and I WILL BE CALLING IT TODAY. Experience?? YOU SUCK, YOU HAVE NO REAL U-HAUL" WORKERS AND SHITTY SERVICE WITH PEOPLE WHO LAUGH AT YOU WHEN THEY FUCK IP AND SEE YOU ARE UPSET AT ONE LOCATION AND IGNORE UOU AT ANOTHER. HORRIBLE!
