The outside of the vehicle was the dirtiest I’ve ever seen. Front desk employee lacked communication skills.

Keep the same staff, they were awesome!
PAULA SI recently used U-Haul for my move. The vehicle itself worked perfectly—I had no issues with it, and it was clean and reliable. However, the customer service and transparency were disappointing. The person at the office did not inform me that I would receive a link that needed to be completed by uploading photos of the vehicle. I was also not told that this step was important or that the link would expire. This lack of communication caused unnecessary stress. Additionally, I was required to leave a $400 deposit, which I feel is important information that should be clearly communicated in advance—not when you are already at the office. Lastly, advertising vehicles for $19.99 feels misleading, since there are many additional fees that significantly increase the final cost. Overall, while the vehicle was fine, the lack of transparency and communication made the experience frustrating.
LIZBETH LI placed the order on Tuesday, March 24 and then confirmed the morning of the truck pickup (Friday, March 27) at 9:51 a.m. I spoke with a man named Jack who confirmed the size of truck and dolly that I had added to the order. When I arrived at the location, the man (not Jack) said that they didn't have any dollies, and ran out of them by 9:00 a.m. I told him that I had confirmed the order close to 10:00 a.m. I asked him to take the charge for the dolly off my bill, which he did. But not having a dolly made our move more difficult and time consuming. He could have called ahead of time to let us know, or gotten one delivered from another location. But customer service is a thing of the past and we cannot count of businesses doing what they said they would do. I'm very disappointed in this transaction.
ADRIENNE VI, frankly, don't think you pay your employees enough. To be frank, i don't know many people who move to another side of the country - because I had to travel maybe 20 hours or more from in San Diego to set me up for success in another state, Washington, makes me feel like... well every thing I loaded on that trailer and my car for that matter - I know it's not union level labor but, I as a common man - I'm not common, I'm in the military, but at the same time I have to respect somebody who gives me an extra 20 to 30 mins off my life to hitch a trailer and help me guide my car on it. Some guy I'll never know the full name of helped me hitch my car and all I had to do was disconnect it when I moved. You want employees to know what they're doing or else you get *!%$ bags who don't know what the *!%$ they're doing and *!%$ the people who get services from them. I could not get get into Washington to serve Our Nation without the boyz in San Diego who helped me get here. But, if you ain't paying them a FAIR SUSTAINABLE WAGE then how can I ever use your services again? Like, they do the real *!%$ to help anyone, they didn't know i was military, but that didn't matter from what I saw - which was excellent service from San Diego to Silverdale, Washington.
