Very helpful and waited on me with patience.
CHERYL BThis review has nothing to do with the pickup or return locations, but rather on my experience with U-Haul of San Diego. I made reservations for a truck and a car hauler 3 MONTHS prior to my move date. The day before the scheduled pickup, I get a text that NEITHER THE TRUCK NOR THE CAR HAULER were available at my scheduled location, and that I would have to drive 10 miles to pick up the truck at a new location, then drive that truck another 5 miles to pick up the car hauler at yet another location. At 7 AM. In rush hour traffic through downtown San Diego. On Interstate 5. This would have taken me HOURS. Hours that I needed to pack up my household into the truck. How does U-Haul justify treating their customers like this. Clearly, this company puts it's needs first while the customers needs fall a very, very distant second. How this company stays in business is beyond comprehension. This has been the worst customer service I've ever experienced. U-Haul gets ZERO stars for it's miserable performance. I will never use this company again, and I will tell anyone I come across that needs to move, to find an alternative to this inept company
Richard RThe location was difficult to find parking when dropping off the U-Haul. There is a sign just outside their office that says if the U-Haul blocks the driveway or is on the sidewalk then the truck will be towed/ticketed and with the size of the lot, it is very difficult to find a spot without being on the sidewalk. This is especially difficult when other people returning their trucks do not pull all the way forward to accommodate later trucks. Marked parking or some sort of system that demonstrates where to park would make returns much easier and save customers headache figuring out to squeeze their trucks on the lot.
DAVID FThe two gentlemen at this location went above and beyond to make sure my 12 year old son and I had a safe and more enjoyable drive from San Diego to the Bay Area by providing us with chain extenders for our Tesla Mode Y hook up which made unhooking the trailer sooooo much easier!!!!! Thank you for caring!!!!!
