Very disappointed. Specifically asked for a one way and was given a local truck that had to be returned to that location. Lost a days work for two men driving it back and had to pay extra mileage or pay an extra $300 to deliver to the location I asked for from the start. In short, the contract wasn’t easy to understand and office staff was not friendly about it.

I had a storage space reserved in SF. I was told on the phone 'split level' meant it was up a few stairs. They didn't say that actually it means the few stairs are a narrow ladder which would be very challenging to bring furniture and mattresses up. This is misrepresentation. I went elsewhere for my storage. Again; won't be recommending UHaul.

My last experience at this location was terrible. The girl who helped me (on my receipt, it’s signed Danita Williams) started explaining to me that the truck I was being given was at 1/8th of a tank. But, I had to return it at 1/4 or I was going to get a $30 charge. I knew of this policy, because if you check your records, I’ve rented many times from you. In the past, I’ve actually utilized your policy of pay-per-gallon upon returning if you don’t refill the truck. I don’t mind the extra charge you guys have on the gas because it saves me from stopping. But, I DID mind paying $30 extra for a truck that was already below your minimum gas level. So, I asked her about that charge and I remembered in the past that if it was your fault that the truck was below 1/4 of a tank, obviously that would not be on me to fill it higher. So, she stated that she was right and that I would get a $30 charge. I asked her, “so, the last 5 times I rented, everyone of those people were wrong?” She stated, “yes.” Then she instantly asked me if I wanted to speak with her manager. When her manager came out, I explained the situation and he said, no I would not be charged because it was below their minimum gas level, which I their fault. He even apologized that the gas level wasn’t higher because they’re short staffed. So, in other words, I was right. Ok. Then, she continued to help me, and asked how many miles I was driving. I stated less than 10 and her response was, “I need an ACTUAL number!” Even after she called her manager, the manager proved that she was totally incorrect, and the manager was even still next to her, she continued with the attitude. She shouldn’t be working on customer service, especially not knowing her company’s policies. And the manager should have definitely called her out for the disrespect, being that he was right next to her when she continued to have an attitude with me. Mind you, I could have continued to give her an attitude, but I made sure I did not give her any more reason to give me an attitude. Not sure why the SF location cannot find good help, OR get some overnight key drops.

The truck was basically clean but the windshield was filthy.

24/7 returns are not available, even though you can select the location on the website and "return".

Would be nice to be given a small discount if I overfill the tank when bringing the truck back!

Dear sir or madam: First up, they did allaocate the car is low gasoline it’s like less than 1/4. While returning, the guy was so rude to me and asking me so loundly where is the gas. Fortunately, I took the photo of the gas prior stated a journey. Thanks him that he finally convinced. Also instructions the counter lady told me it’s like something throwing out m/c very poorly haldled. Thanks a lot for taking into your consideration and trian them to allocate car with full Tank oil to the customer.

Signage could be better as to where to drop off equipment. Believe it or not! ...The in arrow at the left is deceptive. Otherwise, the transaction was outstanding. Thank You!

Great staff. It's to bad the homeless encampment is right out front. I hope you take precautions to keep the employees safe.

As soon as I picked up the truck and drove out of the driveway, it gave me a warning that it had low fuel. Would be nice if the trucks were delivered fall, and you could return them fall. Also, it’s incredibly false advertising to say a truck is $19.99, when it really cost $50 no matter what you’re going to do once you add in all of the taxes fees and extras.

This is for 11/5/17 rental. As has been true of each occasion I rented from U-Haul, employees were very pleasant & helpful, truck was clean & in excellent operating condition. U-Haul has always made moving a less stressful experience for me. Ditto for 12/5/17 rental!!!

The staff is really not very interested in helping - I was in there several times and it seems they are always chatting with each other, on their phones, or literally running around the store goofing off. I just wanna get in there an get my stuff done - would love it if they had a little sense of urgency.

I called and was told a price of $90.00/ for the trip and was okay with that as that was around the same cost to go from Las Vegas to San Francisco....however my guy was charged $1,104.00 as the base pay was $990.00. It doesn't make sense that it is 11x the cost to go the same distance.

The initial truck I was allocated had a broken back lock that didn't open and didn't drive properly. So making sure trucks are ready and in working order before they are allocated to customers. I lost 20 minutes of time having to get a working truck.
