I had a terrible experience with this uhaul location. They called and said I could not do a one way trip and changed time to a round trip which was fine. Because of this change they offered me a $100 certificate to use towards my rental which I was happy about. When I returned the truck they refused to let me apply my certificate when I dropped the truck off. The customer service representative in the store was rude and did nothing to try and remedy the situation. Her only offer was for me to use the certificate on my next rental which defeats the whole purpose of why I was originally given the credit in the first place. I will never recommend or go back to that uhaul location.

I picked up my truck at 7:30-7:45 am. I did not know and do no believe I was properly informed that I would need to not only provide an emergency contact, but that contact had to answer right then and there. It wasn't easy to find someone that early in the morning last minute. It would've been really helpful to know that it is expected the emergency contact answer the phone before you can pick up your truck/rental. Thank you!

Besides the hidden fees, taxes, and generally dangerous neighborhood, what made the experience so bad was the less than friendly staff. I didn't ask complicated questions, but I was met with rude responses and felt very unwelcome.

the area to return ANY trucks, pick-up trucks, box trucks ... "VEHICLES" of ANY kind .. the signage for this area to return ALL vehicles should be carefully labelled as TRUCK RENTAL RETURNS .. and not just "Equipment Rental Returns"

First, U-Haul never called me to confirm my pick up as stated in the original email. Then once I call U-Haul, they told me there were no trucks available and asked me to drive 3 hours to get a truck. WTF is the point of a reservation. I made a new reservation for more money and longer drive times at the Bryant St. location. It then takes an hour to actually get my truck because the "system is down." Figure it out U-Haul. I also have 3 charges from this day on my credit card and need two of them refunded.

The service was bad and late. My 4 hour rental was cut short by 30 minutes of additional paperwork beyond what had already been noted online. No credit was given for the late administrative time. There were 6 people in line all had a reservation time. The last person in line had the truck key of the first truck, everyone in line was there because the first truck could not move. I got yelled at for asking if my lost time would be adjusted for U-Haul delay. Not likely to recommend your location or U-Haul I'm general

Location of this facility is a mess. Homeless on one side of the street( a societal issue, not your specific issue), trash through most of the area. A not very welcoming experience. Check in staff effective and efficient. Picking up equipment was a major negative. Hard to find where equipment is, and then it took nearly 35 minutes to take photos of all the damage to the vehicle and upload it. I don't understand why you force each renter to take pictures of known damage and not spare us the misery of having to search every nook and cranny to record existing damage from previous rentals. Return was efficient and effective, and .the gentleman that checked is in was fast and experienced, which we appreciated.

Mobile check in wasn't straight forward. No gas in the truck

Dishonest agent. Lied about fuel level. I expected a trustworthy behavior from such famous company and I did not take a picture to prove fuel level. Before returning I had fuel just bit under 1/4 and went to closest gas station few blocks away.. I tanked $9 and got a fuel sign exactly on the 1/4 line. It's promised they will return me $17 if I do so because I received vehicle close to lowest level.

I was given the truck with 1/4 of a tank less of gas. I returned the car at full tank and paid about $26 dollars just to fill up the last 1/4 tank of gas. I felt like I was cheated off that money.

The customer service was very poor. Although the rental price on the van and all advertising was $19.95/day the rental rate they charged me was $99.00. This rate is due to the fact that I put more then 100 miles on the van. This was never explained to me at the time of rental. The total price was close to the rate I approved, but they should have explained this prior to renting. The man who took my return was very nice and professional. I have spent more then 1 hour on hold while waiting to provide feedback.

Pickup: It wasn't clear where I was supposed to pick up my dolly. The app didn't give any direction, and when I asked someone at the counter, they just said it was "on the ramp." I was expecting a sign, a locker, or a designated place. Instead, it was just sitting on the ramp on the sidewalk, as if someone had forgotten it. I didn't actually know it was mine; I just assumed it was and took it. Drop off: I followed the directions in the app to drop my keys in the orange box next to the entrance, as in the picture. A few hours later, I got a call from someone at Uhaul, and she was kind of rude. She was like, "We don't have your keys. We have nothing." She made me feel like I had done something wrong, even though I was just following directions. She also said twice that "for future reference," the drop box is only for use after hours. I thought it was unnecessary to hammer this home, since moving isn't something people do very often. The next time I move will be several years from now. "Future reference" is irrelevant.
