We experienced very bad weather and huge traffic delay and thete was no way we could have made it our original pick up destination. U haul modified our pick up station while on the road on a Saturday afternoon and we were able to pick up our car dolly in time. That is high speed customer service! Way to go Uhaul!

The first pickup location was closed, in spite of online posted hours (said their child had a soccer game). The dealer said I was put on 24/7 smart phone pickup, which said that I had no reservation when I showed up! I had to find an alternate location. At a Shell station. Cashier interrupted service to attend other customers, could not find the previously setup contract and started anew with very different price structure my drivers license was not returned in the confusion!! (Something unrealized until at the destination.) An unrequested and unneeded hand truck was later found in the back of the truck. It took calling Uhaul 800 number and speaker phone with the gas station cashier to get to the parameters of my online contract. I cannot convey my frustration.

This was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had (and I have worked in service jobs for a long time.). Upon arriving the attendant was less the informative about the rental (not a great idea to have a uhaul rental attached to a gas station). Was more interested in talking about cigarettes than my rental (I wasn't even buying cigarettes). When asked to add another driver he turned to me, like I was crazy for asking, and said "yea, you can just let whoever drive the van." Which I thought was a little strange considering I had to enter a driver's license number on my online reservation. I then asked if I could return the van to any location. Again, I was met with a look as if to say, these are stupid questions, and he responded with "you can literally return them anywhere.". The equipment itsself was fine. I was moving stuff from San Marcos to Pflugerville. When I drop the keys in the drop area of the Pflugerville location and cinsidered it done. I got a call the next morning saying I wasn't able to leave it at that location and I was be charged the wrong location fee of $200+! My option was to take the charge or drive it back down to San Marcos, which I would them be charged an $89 fee for being over 100 miles. I was shocked disappointed to hear that those were my only two options.... To avoid an outrageous $275 charge I had to find a friend and pay for their gas to drive with me back down to San Marcos.to drop the van off. When arriving at the gas station, the attendant Eliet, was less than attentive finishing her text before even asking what we needed. She came back and pulled up an itemized report (which didn't match my online reservation. The rental protection was twice as much as the price said online.) when I asked the attendant about it she shrugged and said well I don't know if can't do anything about that...i was beyond frustrated with the situation and said just charge the expenses that ended up being twice the total ($157+)of my original online reservation. I then asked her for an itemized copy and she said she couldn't get back to the screen and so could print me out anything with with the itemized items on it. This was the worst experience I have ever had and wouldn't recommend uhaul as a company to anyone. When I talked to customer service it was just as frustrating. Telling me all they could do was submit the complaint but not guarantee anything..honestly why have a customer service at all then. Employees need to be trained better in information knowledge and customer service. Processes need to be put in place to better help these situations since according to the employees they have been happening a lot lately.

Low tire pressure warning came on in first 20 miles. Dealership would not switch out vehicle or remedy problem. Returned vehicle without use. Improperly maintained.

At first it was not good service. We called and made sure they had a car dolly, then I tried to go online and do a reservation, but it wouldn’t let me. Then we got there they told us they had both reserved, even though on the phone they said they had them. However, one wasn’t going to be rented until the next morning so they let us have it. We took it back after the U-Haul hours, but the guy was nice enough to go ahead and Check us out and send a receipt.

The billing debt is confusing, and not helpful. This is not the location, I was charged over $1700.00 and my bill/contract stated I owed around $1100. I have to wait 3 days until someone can help me figure out the mistake.

Website automatically changed my hours with the vehicle from 8 to 4. I specifically went back and changed that twice. I showed up 10 min early and didn't get the vehicle until 15 min after. So my 4 hrs was already being cut into. I paid for two furniture dollies that the location didn't have. Wouldn't refund me until I brought the truck back. Still got a receipt with the charges. After using uhaul previously to move cross country and for moving cross town, I don't believe I'll be using uhaul again.
