I’d like to share my recent experience with U-Haul customer service, which was frustrating and poorly handled. I was expecting a confirmation call the day before my scheduled truck pickup, as promised. Unfortunately, I received no communication—no phone call, email, or text. Based on the instructions in my reservation email, I arrived on time at the Sierra Lane location in Dublin. Upon arrival, I was told there was no truck available and that I was actually supposed to pick it up in San Ramon. I was given only 20 minutes to get there before the truck would be reassigned. This last-minute change, without any prior notice, caused unnecessary stress and forced me to scramble to a different location. The lack of communication and coordination was unacceptable and reflects poorly on U-Haul’s customer service. I hope this issue is addressed to prevent similar experiences for future customers.
