I had one issue: I requested a dolly and paid for one but it wasn't there in the truck , so we had to work without it! I was not reimbursed my $7. Other than that the place was very convenient!

The U-Haul Express Online Check-in was a horrible experience. I got to the point of reading and approving the terms and conditions, the screen said "You're almost done! You just need to enter the 5-digit code to open the lockbox and..." At that point my smartphone indicate receipt of a new message, thinking it was the 5-digit code being sent I exited to retrieve the code... It was only a copy of the terms and conditions. So I returned to the Express Check-in email, and accessed the current reservation in progress only to find... "Your check-in is complete!" But I never got the code to open the lockbox! Since my reservation was for 8am, I would have to wait for the U-Haul office to open at 9:30. Tried calling customer service for help, but only got an endless-loop message stating "Please go to U-Haul.com to review your experience. So here I am, entering my experience. I DO NOT recommend U-Haul to anyone! Try anybody else, but not this company. Absolutely no customer service, especially when you're stuck in a situation like I was in. Bottom line: crapping Express Check-in and no customer service when needed. Avoid using U-Haul.

Truck was very dirty inside the cab... Coffee spills all over, and very dirty on the floor. Looked to have not been cleaned in months... The box was clean, but someone had rented uHaul moving blankets and these were left in the back of the truck as well. The truck pulls to the right when braking... When I made my phone reservation, the person I spoke with confirmed my drop off time for 3pm, however on rental of the truck, I was told it was needed back at 9am... Since I needed it, I had to change my moving plans... Overall, a poor experience, but the location of the rental (San Ramon) was convenient.

There was an elderly Indian couple who came in after me. They looked very anxious. The counter gentleman took care of them before me even though I was ahead of them. Not cool.

San Ramon Valley Storage was accommodating, pleasant, and magnificent to work with. Your customer service, however, was lacking. I spent over 21 minutes on hold. Which in and of itself on a Monday morning wasn't too bad. But listening to the same stanza of music and the same statement over and over and over and over was tortuous! It was cruel and unusual punishment to say the least.

Charged $25 for cleaning fee - not sure why as equipment was returned clean. Since no one picks up the phone, didn’t want to drive all the way back to location to contest.

It would have been nice to have the ability to leave turn the truck into the UHaul facility in Vacaville at no extra charge.

after hours pickup was a disaster. When I arrived, no equipment was assigned to my reservation, which was all confirmed and approved in the system. I spent 1 hour on hold after speaking for approximately 10 sec (in total) to 2 different reps, and then placed on hold for another 30 minutes. Once I finally got in touch with someone, it took another hour to get access to the key for the vehicle. The pickup process was a huge disappointment and a tremendous waste of our time. I will definitely not recommend this to anyone.

Place signs about the supplies that neec to be returned, like blankets. We had fo call fhe customer service number and wait 10 min to get the answer on this.

The person who was working at the front desk was not completely informative. I had to ask him important questions, such as what is the procedure for returning the vehicle? He did not provide this information up front. The vehicle was extremely clean and worked well. Thank you, U-Haul.

Store was closed for lunch. Online it does not show that in their timings. In store the person put a board that he will return at 1.0 pm. He came back from lunch at 1.30 pm. There were at least 6 customers waiting for more than 45 minutes. Then, he made me wait further till he handled all customers to help put the trailer on my car. In all took more than 1.15 minute. Horrible location.

I was told to use the app so I could p/up a truck before the office opened so i didn’t have to wait until 10 am to start my project. Also told someone would be at the office by 9 am if I had any trouble. When I used the app to p/up the truck there was no Lock Box info. Waited until 9 am and no one showed up. Called the Help number and was told the office neglected to enter the lockbox info from their end. Had to wait until 9:30 for clerk to arrive. As it turned out I still didn’t get out of there until 10. Wasted an hour & half of my project time. Not happy ??

Clean trucks before you rent them out every time. If you haven’t cleaned prior to next rental Don’t charge cleaning fees....due walk through customers. Wouldn’t use this location again...line out the door one person works at the location, not efficient at all.
