Skip line experience was mixed as eventually you need to wait in queue to get keys, it's better if you give key box code to open it so that I can skip queue.

I reserved a 4x8 but was told the day before all they had was a 5x8 and they made me pay $5 more a day incurring an additional 45$

The pickup location was not the issue, necessarily, it was the whole experience that was horrible. I've had my ubox stored for several months. One month ahead of time, I called to schedule a drop off time. It was confirmed on the phone and also via email. A day before I was supposed to receive my box and move in, I figured I would call and make sure that everything was set, given that I hadn't received any last minute scheduling updates. I was then told on the phone that the reservation had been moved to days later and I had NOT been notified. I then talked to over 12 customer service people on 4 different phone calls, until I finally reached someone who was helpful who told me that not only had my delivery date been moved but my box was now in a new location. Due to scheduling, I wasn't able to unload my box on the new date so I had to go to the storage center myself, rent a pickup truck and a trailer with the ubox on top and take it myself to unload on campus. It was a very stressful experience and a huge hassle to maneuver the vehicle while unloading. Not only am I upset that they moved my delivery date, but I am even more upset that nobody notified me or kept me informed. Even once I found out, nobody could give me an explanation as to why there was an issue. Overall, terrible experience. Won't use again. On the positive note, the people staffing the Santa Clara storage center were helpful and the actual picking up experience was relatively painless.

The young lady that waited on me was amazing! She helped me tremendously and I appreciate it greatly. There should be more companies that have thoughtful staff like this.

Very good U-Haul facility. DJ was awesome. But his manager was brusque, did not bother to understand customer's questions nor explain stuff properly. And she was micro-managing DJ like no one's business!

Put on website or during the paperwork process make sure to mention that the 29.99 truck is the one with the ramp

The uhaul representative who got me set up didn't know a few things - he told me i have 113mi when I only had 53 and also didn't know if it was 53mi exact or there was leeway

I can't really think of anything. Got in at 9am sharp and out within 10 minutes, they explained the refueling policy and mileage pricing thoroughly, and when I went to return the car, I was out in 2 minutes. Really quick and hassle-free. Would use again! Thanks!

When I picked up the truck and trailer, the high beams were on and it was daylight, so I didn't check the low beams. One of the low beams was out. The plate light on the trailer was out (also couldn't tell in daylight), and the rear left tail light came in and out of operation. Rear left turn signal never worked (although hazards would intermittently). Manager unplugged, replugged, and it worked again; used hazards to show operation (TS was not tested directly). Turns out a wire was clipped and intermittently connected based on angle and the contacts were corroded. There was a bottle in the cab and the cab looked to be hastily cleaned. When I got to my loading point, the tire straps were worn off too short for use upon un-cinching, so I was forced to tie down like an old racecar due to time constraints. The vehicle itself had very loose steering (felt like a rack and pinion that's stripped), and the engine sounded terrible. Brake booster screamed. All in all, the vehicles were subpar and the staff seemed ok to send me off in it.

Courteous and helpful staff though it took a few minutes extra to check in while bringing back the trailer. Nobody was there at the counter.

Self checkout is cool and fast. Loved it. I just need vehicle to move stuff within a mile for very short time, wish there is better price.

Trailer was not at a near and convenient location. When I arrived to pickup the trailer, 15 miles away ,I received the last trailer with no jack attached to it. As a result I did not have the tools to unhitch it on my own. This meant I would have to return during business hours. I ended up keeping the trailer an extra day at COST TO ME so that I could come up with a method to drop it off after hours. I spoke with customer service on 2 occasions to allow me to drop it off at a location near to me but that was not convenient for your various branches. I resulted in borrowing a car jack to lift the trailer along with some wood so I could prop it onto something and still get the jack out from under it. Not a good experience at all. Uhaul should not be renting incomplete trailers of this size a 6x12 without a jack on it. This is a simple fix and am surprised this Santa Clara branch has not installed one as yet. I was expecting to receive some sort of credit but didn't have the time to deal with calling the branch manager Levi. I'm in the process of moving and things are hectic enough. Maybe this survey will do something.

The day before I received a call informing me the utility trailor was going to be in Milpitas. The next morning I received another text letting me know it was now in Santa Clara. I called up to confirm location and my rental and was told , i could not get the utilty trailor with a ramp I reserved becauase they do not rent them to go one way . This was the first time I heard about this and I was on my way to pick it up, not knowing if what I was putting inside would fit. I couldn't believe was not told about this ahead of time. I reserved the trailor in Fremont off Thornton and the rental rep said nothing about this issue. All in all things worked out ok, but it was unnecesary stress I had to deal with.

I tried to make things really easy when I am renting a Uhaul from you but this time. The Uhaul wasn't ready and the give the car with NO gas? are you serious? The lady at the counter was not polite at all... looks like she is there just because she wont feat in any other job. No eye contact and to make this a short story she just told me.... " sorry that's all we have no car has gas take it or leave it....... A disaster place.
