When i picked up the truck the associate give me the keys to the vehicle and had me sign and initial some paper work. When i asked him about doing a damage review he simply said it has already been reviewed and told me about all the X marks around the truck. Then he told me not to worry because i had purchased the safe move protection package and that would cover any type of damage to the vehicle. When we tried to return the truck the associate refused to give us a receipt because he was not sure about some possible damage on the top of the vehicle. We told him we had not damaged nor had any accidents to the truck but he said he had to get a manager to look it over but there were non available. He give us some card and told us to call the number but no one would answer. We called customer service but they could not get anyone at the site to answer the phones. We also explained to the associate that we had the extra protection ANYWAY that covers damage but he said he still needed to have a manage look at it and refused to give us a receipt. Finally one of my female associates went and talked to him in a firm but not threatening way and he give us our receipt. Thank goodness we brought her along. I never had such a terrible experience were i was being held hostage, were i could not get a receipt on my charges and proof that i had returned the vehicle on time. Then to add salt to the wound there was no management to help out or in charge. No help when we tried calling other numbers provided to us on the card he give us and no help from when we talked to a live person on the phone because the u haul site would not pick up the phone. What company does this??? What good was that Safe move protection if it was not good to cover damage like i was told. I did wonder, maybe this person is new and doesn't know what he is doing because he sure did give up the receipt once my associate talked to him. But even if that is true, why leave any employee that is not trained alone? Why is there no Management to assist and help? Why can't I or the employee reach someone so that i could go on my way. This is just plain wrong in so many ways! I run a whole region (all Ca.) for my company, and i would never treat my guests this way!

Maintenance. There was battery acid leakage and my truck would not start again. Customer knowledge. I was told that the dolly would be free of use. Upon checking out it was an additional $14.00. Customer service. I called the site at 3:48pm on a Sunday when my truck would not start which is within business hours and no one answered. I called for roadside assistance and was on hold and kept directing to me Uhaul's internet site for expedited assistance. Clearly not the case. AAA answered my call and helped jump my vehicle before anyone even attempted to answer me. Customer follow up. I called to let the site know about my below satisfactory experience. I was told the manager would call me back because the manager was busy with a customer. No one ever contacted me that day. I would not recommend this service to anyone moving. They are unreliable and show lack of care for the customer. I had scheduled movers until 5 pm. My truck stopped working around 4pm. Because I had to wait on hold and when I realized no one would answer I reached out to AAA who then came to my rescue. I had to move the rest of my 2 bedroom condo by myself because the movers had left already. Totally a stressful experience.

Putting up a sign to tell customers to wait at their vehicle when NO ONE is manning the booth is a surefire way to make the customer wander around looking for some one to help them.

I'm upset I had to pick up at this location. I reserved 2 days in advance for pick up on Homestead Rd. I had no option and was forced to pay more money that I shouldn't have.

I made the reservation at Curtner ave, and when I did the express check out on the day I was supposed to pick up the trailer I found that my reservation was switched to Laurelwood Rd about 13 miles from the curtness location. It added more time and trouble to go around the city driving with a trailer. This is really bad business.

It's very expensive. I used the van for less than two hours & it would have been nice if one of your minor charges had been waived - such as the mileage (28 miles) the gas used ($6.75) or even the insurance reimbursed. Next time I'll probably shop the price more. This was a last minute rental. Pick up & drop off were fast and efficient.

Not related to any particular location, but of general concern: It would be very helpful for U-Haul to clearly convey in advance that a customer's selected location is only a suggestion (not confirmed, despite the email that is sent). It was challenging (and stressful amidst a move) to be told that the location I was counting on, as well as the time, had been changed without any notification the day before I had movers scheduled to arrive. I realize that the coordination of trucks, especially during the high-traffic months of summer, can be particularly hard to manage, but it would serve the interests of the company to provide customers with a fair understanding that their pick-up location may change (and may end up costing nearly eighty dollars more than originally budgeted), as was the case in this specific move. Thank you for your consideration in this matter!

Would have given 5 stars except: I called the central number the night before a morning pickup and confirmed the truck was there and was told I could pick it up an hour early using self checkout. Arriving 1 hour before opening to do a self checkout, the phone app said the truck had not been assigned. So I had to wait until opening anyway. Need to tell central operators how to check if the equipment has been assigned or not.

Service your trucks before you rent them out! The steering mechanism was not maintained and it was very strenuous to drive the truck and unsafe because you could not make quick maneuvers. But Maximillion Sanchez the owner compensated us and we were very happy with his service ??????

The web site had me down for the wrong pick up time. since it showed I was late on their books, they gave away my reservation. I would have lost my truck had the staff not made calls and corrected the situation. I was very angry and rude initially and they were very calm and understanding. I can not recommend this location enough.

The self pick-up process is a joke. Never received the email explaining the process. Found out from the office that you have to log into the actual website to process the pick-up on your own (why not an app?). Logged in and my account showed a complete stranger's truck order along with my own. The website wouldn't let me process the pick-up. Ultimately had to have the gentleman in the office process my pickup, although he could not explain the reason for the extra truck order that wasn't mine. Plus, he was pretty "fumbly" during the whole process. Truck cab was clean but the exterior was definitely not. Both rear views had webs all over them. The woman that brought the truck to me probably meant well but clearly didn't want to be there. On the other hand, the young man the processed my return was polite and professional. It would have been nice to have had a smoother experience, but I was able to get my move completed. It is what it is.

This site needs at least one more full-time employee during the day. Two agents serving a line of six is just not enough.
