The on line check in sucks. I had to put the keys in the ignition to get pics of the mileage and gas and I accidentally locked the keys in the truck and roadside assistance wanted $200. That is unbelievable! The truck was fine, but $200! That's what I call "great" customer service. Very disappointed with the check in process. Took an additional 2 hours on top of a long frustrating trip. How about offer 2 keys to help avoid this disaster.

Pickup was an absolute nightmare. I go to check in and pick up by 6pm, appt not until 6:30. The guy at the counter barely spoke English so all he kept saying is “code” “key code” then he said “call uhaul.” I called uhaul and was on the phone for about 45 mins trying to get this code after being transferred 2 times. Come to find out my reservation was set up that I can’t do an app check in, I’m setup for in person check in. So I go back in with the rep on the phone and I guess the owner is now there as I dealt with him and he says sorry they don’t know how to do check in at the store, only online pickup. While I was standing there checking in with the guy, the gentleman that didn’t know what to do is just standing there so I spoke up and said now is a great time to learn so the next person doesn’t have to go through this and he just laughed. Finally, it’s dark now and I’m out the door and on my way.

STEPHANIE NTook over an hour to get the key locked in box truck. Due to UHaul moving pickup to a gas station instead of UHaul office.
Gary WTruck was dirty and I was charged $70 extra than quoted even though I returned the truck early.
