While the daily rental price is advertised at $19.95, or so, for local service, I paid a total of $76.33. I drove a total of 11 miles, did not leave the engine running idly, did not get stuck in traffic or other delays. Although I added gasoline to the tank I was still charged for an alleged low reading, so here is the logic. Assuming that this truck gets 5 miles to the gallon and I drove 11 miles, I would have used about two gallons of gas. Even at $5.00 per gallon, I should not have had to pay $16.00 on top of the gas that I had already added to the tank. U-Haul is never going to get my business again and I will trumpet this scam to anyone who will listen.
