PLEASE, CLEAN YOUR TRUCKS! The inside of this truck is a mess, and I've got pictures to prove it. It looks like someone might've been living in the back, and it smelled like it too. The back of the truck was just unnecessarily filthy. The front cab of this particular truck looks like it's never seen a vacuum since it became a U-Haul, poor thing. I'm sad to say, all my observations are, unfortunately, accurate. The most concerning aspect of the U-Haul rental experience is the process by which customers are asked to assess the cleanliness of the vehicle upon return, often submitting photographic evidence to U-Haul. Despite providing this information, the company subsequently attempts to levy cleaning fees against the very customer who reported the pre-existing unsanitary condition of the truck. This practice is fundamentally illogical. My intention was to provide an honest assessment of the truck's cleanliness, which was significantly subpar prior to my rental, impacting my family's moving experience. To then to be POSSIBLY charged an additional $30, $40, or $50 for a cleaning fee is unacceptable. I believe compensation should be provided to me for having to contend with a U-Haul truck that was in such a deplorable state of cleanliness internally. Ultimately, I was not charged any cleaning fees, primarily because upon returning the truck, I emphasized its pristine interior condition. Had I not communicated this and provided the requested photographs to U-Haul, I am certain I would have incurred a rather substantial cleaning fee. My intention was simply to act responsibly and inform them, which necessitated contacting U-Haul after my return was finalized. I spoke with Customer Support, who understood the situation and documented it accordingly. It is important to note that without such a call, they retain the ability to charge your card a considerable sum for a complete interior cleaning of the U-Haul. The only reason I did not assign a one-star rating was due to the exemplary manner in which the customer service representative managed this specific circumstance.

The employee of this location made me feel very unwelcome by expressing he did not want to give me the truck as it was already scheduled for a friend. It is however important to note that he was still kind and I understand his standpoint. This was the 3rd location I had been to that day, and was creating a lot of worry concerning my trip. The truck however was in good shape was clearly well maintained and clean.
