The person who rented the trailer to me in Stuart, Iowa was rude and offensive. He told me that I was suppose to pick up the trailer at 1:30 PM even though I had the reservation on my phone stating that 11:30 AM was my pick up time. When I told him that he might have me confused with someone else, he rolled his eyes as if I was lying to him. Even though my reservation was for 11:30, I returned at 1:30 to pick up the trailer. This delay was a huge inconvenience. It was an embarrassing and disappointing experience.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkBill, at Wallace Auto Supply, was friendly, knowedgable and good at his job. He had swept the inside of the trailer, marked previous damage to the outside of the trailer with "x"s", and had attempted, without success, to get rid of the aweful smell in the trailer and in the cab. It smelled like a skunk or dead body. When the movers I hired commented on how bad it was, they commented that marijuana often smelled like skunk. Airing out the trailer for 4+ hours helped the trailer but only slightly helped the cab. I had to wear a mask and roll down the windows. Without doing this, after 30 minutes in the cab my throat fekt tight and scratchy. When I left the cab for 30-45 min, my throat got better.So, Bill did good (except he could have tried airing it out) but the smell was really bad.

Gwen NThere were blankets and some kind of dry food scattered in the trailer but the owner was very apologetic and corrected the issue immediately. Very nice and respectful. U-Haul gave me the wrong trailer and that led to issues but it’s not blamed on the pick up location.
