DD storage has very clean and quick service! Uhaul has great customer service!
The couple running the location seemed frazzled and extremely slow.. when asked how much longer it would be for us to be waited on the lady was extremely rude.. when we returned the uhaul we went over the miles we had estimated and he said boy you went 157 miles!! He seemed annoyed.. the we where short about 4 gallons on the gas and he said.. you did put gas in the uhaul you owe $28.00 more on your account.. I said I can just go and put it in .. he then kept telling me you will be charged for more mileage.. I said thats fine.. again he seem annoyed.. I have rented on other occasions a uhaul and never have been treated like we had committed a crime.. I don't believe I will you this location again.. they are loud and very rude.. I wish them the best and hope they where just having a bad day.. the both where very rude
Lady in charge seems a little confused and even know I had the information confirming my reservation she told me that she didn't have an available truck she corrected the mistake and let us get it but it was a little stressful.
The overall experience was good. The trailer held up did it's job and didn't give me any problems.
While the people we picked up the truck from were WONDERFUL, my customer service experience with u-haul as a company was deplorable- I will NEVER rent from your company again and hope that you strongly consider both your process, notification system and phone staff . Your company really should be embarrassed by your lack of service mentality
Horrible place never using U-Haul again in my life I'm boycotting I used the trailer one day an I got charged two fuck that shit
the only thing I can say is that the windshield was very dirty and made it hard to see out of
Very friendly help.
Just make sure that you know a 1 day rental is 24hrs and not the end of business.
Had made reservations on-line Thursday night for the modesto location but when I opened an email Saturday morning it showed that the truck I thought I was getting at 9:00 am was not available till 2;00 pm. So that sucked. So it cost me more money in milage because now I racked up like 45 miles in just picking up and returning the truck. Told that I should had received a call informing me that the truck and time I picked was not available. But went and checked and I did not. So, pretty unhappy. Would like reimbursement on my milage for having to pick truck up in turlock.
Charged an extra day. Charged 20 gal of gas for 22mi of use.
They ripped us off by purposely cut zip tie on furniture dolly and charging us for it! We sent video showing that we never touched it!! We also reserved online and the person made us do the in store reservation as well and the truck was filthy!
I was disappointed that there was a hand truck and blankets in the back that I could not remove without being charged for them. They took up space I could have used. Other than that everything was great.
Maybe have two people on Sunday. I was really busy
Provide necessary cleaning materials so that vehicles will be properly sterilized
There's nothing you and your team can do to better the service I received countless times I use U-HAUL! Thank you Roy and Joyce for the great customer service I always get at Double D Storage and U-Haul
Excellent location. Very friendly couple.
Just keep doing what your doing. I was very happy with my rental experience. This is the third time I use this location for my rental needs. They're fast, professional, and knowledgeable.
The 26 foot truck I rented a week in advance was rented to another person, at least that's what I was told. I now doubt they even have a 26 foot truck. I was given a 20 foot truck and told they overbooked. I picked up the truck at 1pm and had movers arriving at 2pm on a Sunday. I was told I could rent a trailer, at full cost, no discount offered. My other option was to call around and look for a 26 foot truck and return the 20 foot truck I had. Since the location I was moving to was 45 minutes away my movers didnt have the time to make two trips. Despite their best efforts our belongings couldn't fit in the truck I was provided. We were stuck loading and unloading ourselves and making a 2nd round trip. We both have back issues and couldnt find help on such short notice. I had to take the afternoon off from my new job that (which I started a month ago). Had to use 2x the gas I would have had we had the correct truck, and had to postpone handing the keys to the buyers of my house. The customer service was horrible and we really didnt appreciate the "take it or leave it" attitude of the rental office. I have put in a call to corporate and hope to get some results. I would NEVER recomend Double D storage in Turlock California.
I rented an auto transport hitch from this location in which was installed by their technician. Upon trying to load the car onto the ramp, it appeared that the installation was incorrectly installed as the hitch came off the ball, bounced up from the ramp, and went into the back of my SUV causing deep dents and scrapes. We are fortunate this did not happened while on the road. U-Haul claims they are not responsible for the the incident. U-Haul should double, if not triple check their equipments before allowing customers to drive off their facility as it can create accidents resulting bodily injury or possibly death.
Pick up and drop off went smoothly. I returned the truck late and they were understanding.
Easy to drop off after hours. Just wasn't sure if the truck was safe because it was in an open parking lot in the property. After leaving decided to go back and make sure I had done it right and the property owner had moved the truck. Felt good only then bc I thought maybe someone would break in the back and take the dollies and blankets.
