A little more amateur-level-friendly parking at that location...
EL LHave proper parking for your trucks. The agent showed me a poorly hand-drawn map showing spots side by side and warned me to be careful how I park as neighbours complain. I asked what if another car ends up there when I return the rental - it is Vancouver afterall. She laughed and agreed, but gave no other alternatives but again reminded me the neighbours will complain if I park wrong. I said ok and got the truck. When I returned the truck, sure enough another car was parked in the way, and another uhaul there. I parked it as close as I could to the other uhaul. She asked where. I showed her a photo of how/where I parked. Said oh no, the neighbours will complain and said I had yo move it. I didnt understand where, so she showed me. I was to parallel park it in a space as long as the truck itself, which just couldn't happen given the other vehicles in the parking lot. I offered to try and move the other van as she was the only agent working, and said she didnt know how. I backed the van as close as I could to the random car in the way, and again tried to parallel park the truck. Tried 4 times, tried moving the van some more. Nothing. So again tucked it as tight to the other van as I could to allow other cars to het in/out. I returned to give the key back, and again wss told no good because the neighbours might complain. I asked where else, and she had to call her manager, but they just went in circles about thr neighbours, the other car, customers lining up, etc etc. Finally 45 minutes after arriving to return and having shuffled YOUR fleet for them they said ok it good, your return is finished. Its great businesses can run a side hustle with UHaul, but if they dont have the room for them, piss of neighbours (who might think its UHaul's fault, not the satellite locations' fault), and dont know how to drive the vehicles themselves, they probably shouldn't be a satellite location. Just saying. Truck was ok. Typical moving truck. Agent was being nice, it wasnt her fault - she just didnt know what to do. Irony was the next person in line looked to be renting the same truck anyway..!
