CHAD RI originally tried to check the truck out using the U-Haul app out at another location that was not open at that time. As with many U-Haul renters, my move was to another state (TX) in which I had already transferred my driver’s license. Texas issues a temporary printed license with no bar code until the official license card comes in the mail. The app will not let you check in without taking a picture of a license with a barcode. After a series of phone calls and transfers, a U-Haul rep moved my reservation to another location where they were open and could verify my license. It would be great if U-Haul would give a heads up about the need for a bar-coded license to check in from the app or give the option to enter the dl# manually. The person at the place where I finally picked up the truck was very helpful and got me checked in quickly.
