I went to the Crystal Lake location because it was the closest actual store not a pickup/drop location. The day before my pickup date I received a text saying that the truck I rented would have to be picked up at a location 11 miles farther away which was an inconvenience. I tried to call the location to see if I could pick up the truck earlier but could only get a leave a message because they were closed. I believe an easier way to communicate with U Haul/agent and the customer could be improved.

We did not have a good time trying to get our truck and trailer. Nobody was at the office and a young man had to meet us out there almost 35 minutes or more later and everything had to be done over the phone. Very hectic, after I had already gone to another place first and they didn’t have the truck and trailer available. This location was a 30 minute drive.
