If it wasn't for the owner at Birds, my mover would have been a disaster. I made a reservation for a truck online and the reservation was changed without anyone calling me. Then when I drove 50 minutes to the new pick up location the location was closed and didn't open until 9am. I called the 800 number to get help and I was told that my reservation was changed again to a 24/7 pickup but because of the way it was done in the computer I had to wait until the pick up location opened (1 hr later) to get help with my reservation. She also said I would get a $50 dollar credit, because of the mixup.I waited when the owner arrived he said who ever I spoke to at UHaul had changed my reservation again and my new pickup location was over 100 miles away. I already had movers waiting and now I was being told I had to drive 100 additional miles away to get a truck. this was unacceptable. I called customer support for help. The woman was nasty to me on the phone and say 'oh well, you either drive 100 miles away to pick up a truck or you are out of luck". I became very upset, I needed that truck to clean out my dead Mother's house and I only had the one day. Then the owner from Birds said to give him the phone. He told the woman that the reservation should not have been changed in the first place that she needed to just transfer the reservation back to his store and just be done with it. I heard the click on the phone. I asked him what happened and he said she hung up the telephone on him, but he was hopeful that she would transfer the reservation back to his store, because if she didn't he wouldn't be able to rent us a truck. Luckily, the reservation was transferred back and the gentleman rented us the truck and we were able to get going. I never did get the $50 dollar credit and I had to pay the movers for an hour of waiting time. I will never use UHaul again and I am going to review it online everywhere I can to let the world know how badly UHaul treats it's customers.

Had to travel an hour and a half to pick truck up. After starting truck, the "Check Engine" light came on. Waited more time to have mechanic look at truck. He put the meter on the truck and said it was only a misfire of some type. He cleared the machine to turn the light off and said we were "Good to go." We were still leary of it the whole trip to NC.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KEY. Terrible service. I was told to take it across the street and find my own spot. No assistance whatsoever. The the employee went to the back of his store and that was it.

The "BOSS" is the only person there that does U-HAUL RENTALS. If he is not there you CAN'T RENT ANYTHING. I had a reservation for 10AM but had to wait until 11AM because he was not there.

This has nothing to do with the location and I'm beyond thankful they had something available we could use but our overall experience with uhaul itself was the most stressful and awful experience. Booked a month and a half ahead of time for a 26”. Was switched to a 20” and 4 days before our pickup date was switched to a 17” and now 40 minutes away to pick up. On pickup day we drive the 40 minutes and arrive after hours to pick up only to learn after calling the 1800# the uhaul was never returned. Now leaving is in a huge bind late Sunday evening. Several issues after that till almost 10PM when we eventually ended up getting a 15”.

The uhual system lagged and gave us error screens. Which made the process take 30 min just to rent the eq. Then when I picked up the trailer the brake light was inop and took an additional 30 min to fix. Also no one explained how to use the trailer.

Well I originally made a reservation that was on the way, instead sent 10 extra miles each way,floor mats had dirt all over, but was relatively clean, should have marked dirty as we later found out there was white animal hair I have my own pictures, as I checked out it asked to be clean, I clicked yes and was charged $25 for someone else mess, I never did a virtual walk around, on top it was pouring rain. Im just upset about the extra 20 miles that put me over and being charge $25 for someone else mess, the rental location was busy and I didn't want to bother them as well as closing soon. The maintenance required light was on stating oil change was needed as well as for a truck towing a 3515 lb car struggled at time and idled fairly rough. For the price minus the fees was reasonable, and I PAID for extra insurance. Next time I will shop around.

This location was not conveniently located for me. I only went there because it was the closest location that had the size trailer I wanted. I had to drive past at least 5 other u-haul locations to get here.

First, with covid, there were way too many people just hanging out in the office. I reserved a dolly and when I arrived they didn't have one. They charged me for it and called the uhaul shop down the street, they said they had one. They told me I had to go drive the truck there and pick one up. Inconvenient but whatever. I get there and they guys yelling at my husband that I shouldn't have paid them for it that I have to get it through him. I tried to explain it wasn't my fault. So he proceeded to call the other shop and yelled at the guy calling him and idiot. This experience was very uncomfortable. I will not be returning to either of these shops and I've been using uhaul for many years. This is a shame. If I didn't absolutely need the truck at that moment I would've canceled the whole order. I'm am not happy at all.

I originally made a reservation for the U-Haul on Railroad Avenue in Wrightstown, NJ, and when I got there they told me they were closed. That's how you can improve my experience— by not getting me a reservation for somewhere that isn't even open. Luckily there was another U-Haul dealer around the corner they happen to have exactly what I needed; otherwise, that would've been a complete waste of time.

I picked Pemberton NJ as my drop off location. Halfway through the day, I was sent a text message that said my drop off location would be 1 railroad Ave in Wrightstown, just far enough away from my original location to put me over the allowed mileage. Upon arriving there and clicking the provided link to complete after hours drop off, the link gave me a different address than the text message I received, back in the direction I had already come from. I called the 24 hour customer service line and the representative connected me to the reservation manager, who was closed for the day. Again, customer service did not help me at all. This entire ordeal was wildly infuriating and the customer service I was offered was absolute garbage.
