What I didn't expect was I wanted to pay cash for my rental and it was going to be 60 dollars more than it would of been if using credit card. I think that is a little ridiculous. The representative at the pickup location told me that's uhaul that set this policy in place.David A.

When I arrived. There were 3 young men sitting in the Garage. I asked them who did I need to check the truck in with. They said they would get the person. I waited at least 15 minutes. I could see the guys and they could see me. I called to see them but no one said anything. So I checked my email to see if I could check back in with 24/7. I then called uhaul where they connected me to a supervisor. A guy that did not have any work clothes or company uniform on (jeans and t shirt) did not appear to be a worker appeared to be visiting came out after I asked him a him if someone could help me ( my 2nd request) he went to find someone came back and said. You got the key? I said yes, he said you can give it to me. I asked for a receipt or a way to check and confirm that it was brought back appropriate. He said that your okay just go. When I requested again someone finally came out and said my fee for a nine mile travel and low gas fuel was 152.00. I then spoke with the supervisor who was also on the line and she fixed the situation. The guy seemed nice enough when he finally came out. I had seen him the entire time. The truck was clean but had a bad smell. I hate submit a bad report but hope this will serve as a learning tool or guide for at least decent customer service.Juanita B.
The locations did not open until 9am but accepted my pick up time at 8am. This caused me to pay more for movers as they were scheduled at 830 to begin, but lost an hour due to not being able to pick up vehicle and trailer. Once open, the gentlemen doing the order did not check ID to ensure I was who I said I was just asked for my name. He took the key from the hanger and walked outside to check I guess the Mileage. He came back in and handed me the key and didn't say anything. His demeanor was that of a racist and look at me with disgust the entire time. I stood there with the key waiting for next steps and a contract and he still said nothing. Finally, I asked him is this it and he responded shortly with a yes. He and I never walked around the truck to check for damages or explain anything. I walked outside to collect the truck and the trailer. The trailer was blocked by a broke down vehicle. It took him nearly thirty minutes to crank the car and move it out of the way. Not before he kept pressing the gas of the car and blowing exhaust fumes in our face. Once the car was moved, my help and I, struggled to connect the trailer. At no point did the guy offer to help connect the trailer, and we spent about her thirty minutes trying to connect. At this point, I contacted customer service and explained the situation and wanted to know if the reservation could be moved to another location. I was left on hold and no one every picked up. I took the truck and what appeared to be correct way to hook up the trailer and headed to the destination. This location should be removed from uhaul as it is a horrible representation of the company. The truck struggled the entire trip as it continue to get stuck in second gear a d had no pickup power. The trailer which was secured continued to jolt the truck on every bump in the road for an eleven hour drive going 55 MPH. Worst experience ever!!!!Joshua B.
