I did not receive a text about taking a picture of the vehicle and definitely the gas mileage, which was almost on empty when I got it which I had to put gas in it immediately. The truck act like the transmission was going to go out because of the way it was driving and the way it kept changing gears. I was very unhappy because I don’t feel that there enough information is given when you go forth to rent this truck so thank God I pray I never have to rent another truck again in my life. This is my first time and I hope and pray this is my last, but I will be able to tell others exactly the pros and cons of renting a U-Haul truck thank you and may God deliver them

How U-Haul Reviews WorkI was sent a message that my rental was no longer available at 1033 Mahoning Ave location, and I need to pick up from here. I was over charged for rental ($78 on a $29 truck). I was told that the reservation guarantee would be a credit of $50, which hasn't been provided. I was inconvenienced for a trip that was less than 2 miles away and charged for gas for a 10-mile round trip. The gas gauge on a truck with 164k miles didn't move, yet the dealer charged me for gas and insurance. I've rented storage and vehicles from the facility on Mahoning with a great success, and this was a nightmare to be honest. I expect a refund and credit based on guarantee that wasn't met.
Jeffrey DOnly comments are that even though I scheduled to pick the truck up at 10 a.m., I actually picked it up about 10:15. I returned it at 10:24 on Sunday and was charged a late fee for 9 minutes. We had bad storms and had to move trees to get out of the drive, which caused a delay. Additionally, when I booked online at a specific location I rejected all insurance. The location was changed by Uhaul due to the truck being at a different location. I noticed on my final bill that I was charged $45 for safe move coverage. I feel this was deceitful since I already elected out of all coverages. I did not review prior to paying because I had already elected out and Uhaul added that back when they changed locations. Otherwise, all was well and the service at the location was great.
