Actually be there when you're supposed to show up to pick up your truck

Got to location at 9 (pick up time). No one was there ... there was a box but I never got a code... sat there for almost two hours.. trying to call uhaul and get someone there.. we had hired help that LEFT. Finally got the truck got back to my home to start moving at 11:30. Then had to move all my stuff alone and because it was just me had to do 3 trips so my “19.95” rental for the day was a total of “179”... please go somewhere else.

I got an empty tank but in the paperwork it indicated half a tank full. Mileage was also inflated and I only noted coz of a picture I took ro show the empty tank. Not trustworthy. The truck was old and steering hard to turn. Had to pay a truck driver to help. Now I know to look for a bigger shop that may have choice and to physically inspect instead of trusting.

There was no one there when I returned the equipment. I prefer to go to the main U-haul location for pick up and drop off. So my friend recommendations would be to go to the main location.

I was charged for an appliance dolly but it wasn't in the truck. I also went through all the steps to get the key from the safe box but the key was just sitting in the unlocked truck.

Better communication is needed. We had to pick the truck up at one place and were suppose to get an auto transport from another. We paid at the first place and were told that the total bill for both were paid there. Upon arriving at the second location were were told that we needed to pay more money. When the first location was called and questioned he said it was paid for but that the second location just needed some form of payment as well. Very confusing. We did not end up getting the auto transport because we had no clue what was paid for anymore.

We had a TERRIBLE time with the rental. First, our preferred location was changed TWICE. We chose the store we wanted to go to because we had ALWAYS had such excellent service there. We also chose it because we knew they opened early, and we had a long day ahead of us. We were told, quite rudely, that "we had just made the reservation last month" (we made it May 28) and that that new location was the only place that had the truck we needed. We were REASSURED by Elaine that all we had to do was go to Ramirez Autoplex and call the 800 number, and everything would be taken care of over the phone. (I had already prepaid the rental). We arrived, called the 800 number, and were told that we 'had to do it ourselves using the UHaul app". So there we are, on the side of a highway, downloading an app... AND THE RESERVATION WAS LISTED AS "NOT FINAL" (EVEN THOUGH IT HAD BEEN PAID). The app wanted me to pay for the rental I have booked for the following week.... well, no thank you. So I call the 800 number back and explain my situation, and my call was transferred to someone who could help me. EXCEPT THAT ALL I GOT WAS HIS VOICEMAIL. YES, NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. So I called the 800 number a THIRD TIME, and by now, we have been parked on the side of a highway for just under ONE HOUR. The operator found Elaine for me (who was the one who told me to just call when I got there and "it would be faster than if you were at a UHaul store standing in line". I explained my new now, hour long predicament to her, and she says she will take care of it. We located the truck they had reserved for us. LOCKED UP. BEHIND A LOCKED FENCE. (this particular location doesn't open till 10 am, you see...). She did locate another truck that was available in that parking lot, but it didn't have the blankets we had already paid for..and it had two dollies we DIDN"T pay for. We were able to find an unlocked truck that thankfully had blankets in them and took them (with her permission), and put the dollies we didn't want in that truck. so, now it's about 9:30. ONE HOUR AND A HALF AFTER WE GOT THERE. WE HAD A 7 HOUR TRIP AHEAD OF US,,, after loading up the truck... SO YEAH. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL. This was NOT a Ramirez Autoplex problem...this was a U- Haul problem and a "self service" problem.

The location was not manned by an employee. Had to call to know where to leave the vehicle. Person that answered the phone was helpful.

Nothing. They went over and above to rent me the trailer. I got caught in a storm and they worked with me and made arrangements for me to pick up after they closed !!

Returned at 12:30 pm and no one was there. I was charged for gas( vehicle was returned with more than it had at pick up) and cleaning fee( vehicle had to be swept out before we could load)

Location was closed and I called the number on my reservation and the guy said just park it somewhere and hanged up

This guy was a complete jerk. He didn't check the equipment for damage. He wouldn't listen to anything my father and I said, instead he had a smartass condescending remark to anything we asked. I will never go back there. If I hadn't needed the trailer due to the rain moving in I would have just walked out.

The owner of the place showed up over an hour late. When I arrived at my scheduled pick up time the place of business was closed and the gates were locked. The uhaul it's self was acceptable. The ramp did evacuate the tuck when I was driving it. The service tech that showed up to fix the ramp was very professional and helpful.


The door on the trailer kept sticking. We did not try it at the pickup location, so I did not know it until I had loaded most of the trailer.
