My only complaint is that on Saturday when I checked out the truck at noon I was told that they would be open til 6pm. When I went in to return the truck around 4 Pm I was told that the store closed for U-Haul at 3pm and would have to checkin via my cell phone. The prices for doing this was very confusing but while I was trying to figure this out, the store clerk did come to my rescue and checked me out.

Check in took longer than expected, and when we do get the truck the entire inside is covered in Oxyclean powder. There was powder all over the floor, inside the doors, the cup holders, EVERYWHERE. Then when we finally do get to moving furniture, I open the gate and there’s rocks and dirt and dust everywhere, now coating my brand new furniture in it. There’s literally a sign that says something like “$25 cleaning fee if truck is left dirty”, yet the entire truck was dirty. To top this all off, they tried to charge me $20, $5 a gallon for 4 gallons, even though I brought the truck back with the same exact amount of gas. Thankfully I took pictures when I got in the truck & when I left the truck and contacted customer service to get my $20 back. All in all a 0/10 experience with the Grands U-Haul location.

STEPHEN GFirst off, U-Haul.com messed up my reservation and sent me to this location instead of my “guaranteed” location. This was further away than what I wanted but the female representative I spoke with was unhelpful and would not find a better location. Next, after switching my location they removed my appliance dolly, furniture dolly, and moving pads. This location did not have that equipment and I was forced to take the truck to various other locations until I found what I needed. I feel like I paid double for this as the price didn’t change and the paid for the equipment upfront. Lastly, the truck itself, was dirty, had left over food containers under the seats, the windshield had a big chip in it, the driver door would not shut properly and came open when I was driving on the interstate. The back of the truck smelled like vomit. I had to let it air out before I loaded anything in there. I lost time on moving things because of this. It was an all around horrible experience from the representative I spoke with to the truck itself. I think I’ll rent from an actual U-Haul store than booking online. Such a disaster.
