the return process is not customer friendly. customers must be computer or cell phone literate. Taking photos and linking it with U-Haul is time-consuming.

I wanted to pick up the truck in San Ramon or Dublin on Saturday. Instead I received a text at 4pm on Friday to get in Antioch which is 45 minutes away from Danville (where I live). After contacting in an argument with the Antioch manager & contacting several other Uhaul numbers the dispatch told me to get a smaller size truck from Martine, 30 minutes away from me @ 9am. Contacting the Martinez store @ 9:30 was told they do not have a truck. Contacting the dispatch again they said to pick it from Alameda, 30 min away. Almost at the Alameda location got another text saying to go to Hayward to get the truck. I had 4 people waiting to move my stuff in the truck since 10am and did not get there till 1pm. Worst service I have had in the past 20 years of using uhaul & at lousy return location got charged for extra mils. Get it together & next time I will use Budget.

Customer Service Reps need to know customer service and make sure the FUCKING TRUCK that is reserved for somebody is there. No contingency plan is placed if the reserved truck is not there. I was not even credited the $50.00 to my bill for being inconvenienced. U haul sure knows how to FUCK YOU when you are on a time crunch to move.

The truck and dolly we scheduled were not available. Miguel was thoughtful, did not panic and arranged for us to use a van that had been returned dirty and a very old (heavy!) dolly that isn't usually rented. We were able to complete the task for which we needed the truck. Miguel's professionalism saved what was beginning to be a bad situation. When we returned, the computer calculation of our miles was very wrong. Miguel again handled that well. So we'd have to say your computer reservations and bill total was terrible but your human did great.

If only we can negative we will. Horrible customer service. We did our reservation a month prior moving and paid the truck & dollies. But a day prior the moving date, they called us that the truck should be picked up from Alameda instead of Daly City. And they gave us a 10 footer truck instead of the 15 footer that we paid! Horrible experience! Will never use their service again!

Uhaul website does NOT provide web truck return button. No clear path to making a truck return when the office closed in the middle of day. Rental was scheduled to fit posted office hours. Paying $20 fee to compensate for office closing is not fair deal. Spending 30+ minutes online with 800- # is additional frustration with the quality of experience.

First, no one was there to receive my return. Second, they falsely inputted to the U-Haul system that I brought the truck back without gas and overcharged me over a hundred dollars. None of there phone numbers got me to talk to a human being. It is not worth the convenience My fellow Alamedans!

Have everything they requested at the location they are being sent to. I requested a hand truck, moving dolly and pick up location in San Leandro, Ca. What I got the day prior to my pick up was a notice telling me that I was now picking up the vehicle in Alameda, Ca. Upon receiving the vehicle, I was told that none of the requested items were available at that location and I could go to the main location in Oakland, Ca if I wanted to get them. I was then told that I only had a 30 mile limit on the truck when the destination I was using truck to move for was 16 miles away. I will not be recommending your organization to anyone.

Customer Service at Central Storage in Alameda Retail clerk gave me excellent attention to my needs, handled multiple customers as a solo customer agent, adapted to multiple problems, like a dead battery on my truck, was knowledgeable about products and services, and helpful. Operational System Business card phone number is worthless. Terrible communication system. No referral from local storage company central call center, but rec'd rude and disrespectful treatment. Uhaul phone support does not come from local storage facility, but from a separate call center and separate phone number that was found on my credit card statement. Getting What You Need Truck-YES Good Rate-NO, Home Depot beats Uhaul for non-local moving. HD does hourly billing, Uhaul does mileage billing. Knowledgeable Rep-YES Explanation of T&Cs-NO. Surprised to learn that default arrangement of 'In-Town' rental has a different set of terms from 'Local' rental, and was not offered an explanation.

When using the GPS and the address posted, the location takes you a different route. Just know its the same building but the entrance is on a different street. I had to circle around to find the entrance.

The associate staffing this site yesterday needs additional training. He lacks the customer focus I’ve come to expect at your facilities. 3 examples my truck had not been cleaned which he responded to with a shrug of his shoulders. When I returned at 3:45 there was a sign on the door that the office was closed until 4. I could not leave vehicle keys in the key box because they did not fit through the slot. When the employee returned I had to wait for 6 other customers before getting him to take the keys. When I pointed out that they didn’t fit in the key drop I got another shrug of the shoulders.
