Cab was dirty (as was the entire outside), Furniture pads were left in the truck bed and I had to set them aside while I used the truck and then replace them in the bed. With covid, I was not happy to be put at additional risk by the failure to clean the cab or having to deal with the pads.
The parking lot was small and difficult to back the truck out of.
clarity on the website that online-self check-in is not available at this (Sherman) location during closed hours would be good to know. The employee at the site called to inform and made arrangements that were proactive and very positive to my needs/experience. Appreciated!
The employee was great -- no complaints about her. I was unhappy because I wanted to get the uHaul at 8am, but I wasn't able to pick it up until 10am because that's when the location opened. (Why did uHaul let me receive a pick up time that's not available?) And I was unhappy because it costs so much more than I antiquated with all the extra fees. I will think twice before renting a uHaul again. I paid $90+ to move my stuff myself, I could have just paid $250 and hired movers. It's not worth it to use uHaul.
I reserved well in advance and included a dolly as part of my order. Though I requested the truck from a full UHaul dealer, my pickup was transferred to this location. I didn't find out about this till arriving at the other location. When I arrived at Central Self Storage, I was informed they don't supply dollies and had to drive back in the UHaul to the previous location to obtain one.
You have got to fix your website for contactless pick up and return. It was glitchy, didn't work, kept making start the process over for no reason. It was ridiculously frustrating and needs to be FIXED
They called me to and asked if I can return the truck earlier than my expected return time. I went over and the representative Samantha would not let us in and made us wait outside or talked to us outside in the hot sunny heat with no shades! How ridiculous! I had my mask on. She took some time to put on her mask and came over to talk to me through the window. She would not let me in. I don't know why but I did not see any writing in paper where it says customers are not allowed in. Then she told me to do self check out. I was standing outside in the sun attempting to do self check out for some time. I couldn't do it and later she said she could do it. So the whole time, she could do it but was lazy and didn't want to do her job so she wanted customers to do her job for her? I returned the truck 1 day earlier than expected. She did not do the walk through of return with me. Even with covid, mask on for both parties. I could easier step aside as she's doing the checks. But she wanted me gone so she did the checks herself. She ended up charging me $16 for gas. First of all, I remember I had 5/8 of gas left in the tank. Secondly, since I returned earlier there was still plenty of time to go and come back with more gas if I really didn't have enough but the fact she did not do the check in front of me. I find it suspicious. She was not friendly, welcoming nor helpful. Very disappointed in my first uhaul experience. My friend is also trying to book a truck this week. I would not recommend her and already warned her about this.

From the self service perspective it is confusing because the app tells you to "go inside the facility" to get keys but it is not clearly marked on the facility where U-Haul customers need to go.
Busy period during my return but staff prioritized and handled my return swiftly.
The "contactless" program was a complete mess. The women working handled it with grace, but I lost an hour of rental time and gained a whole lot of aggravation. UHaul needs an overhaul of this system, totally bonkers.
The Uhaul when I got it was completely disgusting and uncleaned. There was food all over the seats and toilet paper on the ground. Given that a pandemic is happening I am beyond shocked it wasn't cleaned thoroughly (I was given wipes to clean it myself). Additionally, I was charged a $25 clean up fee - but no one cleaned up after me either (I saw the next guy in the uhaul I got leave). At the VERY least, I'd love to hear about what you're able to do to reimburse the â€œcleaning feeâ€.
Check in was verbal, said she would email us a receipt but it was delayed and when we called to ask about it, the woman was rude.
Don't give away my furniture pads to the person who bought them on the fly in front of me versus me who reserved weeks in advance.
Attendant was rude and extremely difficult to work with. Refused to explain details of drop off and was abrasive when asked questions. Terrible experience and will not return to this location.
The app is bad, slow Mobile Signal at this located , not easy to Check in and get the car
If U-Haul is going to change my pick-up time, they need to give more notice than a text at 6:35 PM the night before the delayed/changed time. If 8 AM wasn't available, it shouldn't have been an option for me on my reservation. A two-hour delay with no notice is terrible customer service.
There was a crack in the windshield...probable get that fix before renting again. Otherwise the customer service was excellent.
Had a online reservation for a 9 AM drop off. Location not open until 10 AM. Once opened, the location would not accept drop off until an online procedure was completed, after which I was charged another day because of the time lapsed to complete the procedure. I have been a u haul customer for over 40 years, and you have lost my business and any future referrals because of this poor service.
The woman who was naming the front desk was absolutely great. We had a hiccup in picking up the rental but she was very great about reserving the van and letting us come back an hour and a half later for a reservation of 4 hours. She handled the crowd well and fair. She definitely deserves a bonus from the self centered men that were really rude to her.
The app didn't work well during check out. It kept restarting the process in the middle of checkout. In the end the store employee had to check it out herself. Very inconvenient especially if dropping off after hours.
Truck interior was not cleaned. In the time of COVID 19, this should be required.
The location was good, the Uhaul online checkin was cumbersome and buggy (I was asked to submit my drivers license three times). Please fix the website!
