The van I rented was dirty and unwashed. However, that is a minor issue. Customer service was. I returned the equipment within 24 hours and Debbie charged my account for another 24 hours and then I was double charged again for the sum of the original hold amount of $54.37 plus the extra day charge of $47.... I then had to go back to the location to straighten it out. My bank has charged me overdraft fees as a result. I am not happy at the way U-haul does business, specifically this location. I won't use it again.

The customer service lady-Deb Cummings was very rude over the phone, to start with, and even more obnoxious in person experience. She scold me number of times, she would fuzz, sigh, raise her voice on occasion and make sarcastic remarks like " how come you don't know where to return it !?" or "you are making this process really difficult ", " you are better take care of MY truck now since you didn't get insurance ", with very authoritative and grumpy voice. Worst personality ever for customer service. My friend and I was totally shocked and embarrassed at the same time. First time getting Uhaul and probably the last one definitely at that location.

I want to thank Deb for being the most patient and professional associate. She was the only employee at Central Self Storage today, reserving 3-5 customers starting at 8:30am. Some customers threw an unnecessary tantrum at Deb due to a sudden change in uhaul pickup location and long delay driven by a system issue. Well, first of all, it was another associate's mistake for not notifying the customer about the change in pickup location, and Deb took care of it immediately by calling the associate. Secondly, nobody, including Deb, wanted the computer system to malfunction! It was out of her control, and she did her best to resolve the issue. If only customers can empathize with Deb just for a few minutes. That angry customer mentioned he would write Deb a bad review. If he does and when you read it, consider all relevant emotions and facts that came into play here. I do share his second frustration about the long delay, as there should be more associates helping out at the location if clearly uhaul knows month end gets a lot busier! Whoever reads this, show Deb some appreciation. She kept her smile and professionalism throughout the hectic morning. Because of her, I will remain a customer of uhaul despite system delays and long wait time.

the contract and terms were, as usual confusing and possibly misleading. this is why I hate renting. its not as clear cut and straight forward as it could be. it always feels, in the end like im being ripped off!

I was charged incorrectly for 2 missing dollies which I returned to the office when I dropped my keys off with the attendant. The return of the equipment can easily be seen on the security footage. (4/9 approx 3:30 in the afternoon). U-Haul Contract 21154875. The issue that bothers me is no one called me to confirm if this was correct, rather they just charged my card.

This location TOOK my money AFTER they told me $1.19 per MILE!! A little light moving for me from Small apartment to my storage just 10blocks up the road and they SOAKED me for $187DOLLARS! and there was DRUGS in the truck and a broken headlight! all this while my little girl that is only 13 years old was right by my side! she can attest to the switch and bait and the drugs she saw in this RIP OFF DEAL
