I had the rental set up for 1 day but at check-in, I inquired about a second day. I was told that was fine but if I brought the truck back 1 day early I'd only be charged for the 1 day plus miles. I was charged for two days and when I called the location, I was told I had to call U-Haul corporate to request the refund.

Without a doubt, This experience has been the worst of any transaction I have ever had in my entire life. I first drove to Adam's Feedstore to pick up my 26 foot U-Haul at 10 PM using the 24 seven app. Long story short after 2 1/2 hours on the phone with some very kind but ultimately unsuccessful wraps I left that store at 12:30 at night with no U-Haul. I tried numerous times to get through your app and it kept kicking me out and little cherry on top was when I finally did get through your app the final step said now you can go get your keys go inside to the store and find an associate. It's 1230 at night there are no associates around i'd like that I received the phone number work of who I believe was the regional manager and tried several times to call him that night but gave up when he would not answer. I tried again at seven in the morning and he didn't answer I told him my story and he told me that he would give me a $50 credit which I've never received and send me to another store on 360 and Pioneer to pick up a new one but on my way there he sent me a confirmation for our U-Haul at the Harris location which was 8 miles away from the initial pick up point. I tried calling him many many times but he played the coward and never answered my phone calls . Resigns to going to the Harris location I went there only to find out that they were not open yet and I had to wait for further half hour. Delaying me so that I was late to my own move. When I finally got the truck and loaded it apart heading out I saw that the oil light was on and I had to take it in to my local U-Haul to get it serviced. (The truck was a full 2 quarts low and would have probably blown the engine if I hadn't gone to get it fixed)I tried calling last week to speak with someone to ask for a full refund which I believe is warranted yet after I've left messages they have never return my calls. A $50 refund wouldn't even pay for my time going back down to pick up that U-Haul at that Harris location and mileage and gas. I expect a full refund.

I need someone to contact me ASAP at 2147324530 or via email sabrinaslaton@live.com. This location has taken advantage of us and charged a damage fee when no damage was done to the vehicle. I asked the woman about damage I saw to the vehicle and she told me not to worry about damage that they have X stickers everywhere there is damage - there were stickers on the exterior of the van, every side and on the interior of the van roof, floor, all four sides and all four doors. I asked if we needed to look at it and she said no, did not do a walk around with me at rental and were closed at drop off. They now claim we dented both wheel hubs on the interior of the van. Nothing was set on the wheel hubs, we moved a futon (center of van location) and 7 boxes of bedding, plastic plates and other dorm room items. The van was not 1/4 full. When I contacted about this, I was told that the employee claimed she did a walk around with us (by a man - not sure his title) and he said "I have cameras and they won't lie". So I asked he watch the video to see I did not have a walk around and call back. At that time he called back, confirmed a walk around with me did not occur and that we didn't look in the back of the van before leaving parking lot - which is true because I was told not to worry about it. He states he and the woman did a walk around on their own, "real quick" to get the van checked in from a same day return to prepare for our pick up scheduled shortly after and they would have notated the damage. He stated his regional manager said we would be charged and there was nothing else he was going to do about it. This means two people were held responsible for damage and two deductibles were collected for damage. I did not cause this damage. I have attempted to contact the customer service for haul and keep getting transferred to the damage department which instantly disconnects the call. I am very upset and want my $150 credited back to me. This has been the worst haul service ever and believe I have been taken advantage of. Please contact me.

I rented 2 different pull behind trailers two weekends in a row referred to as RV's, the first rental was awesome new tires and I could see the suspension had ben reworked as well. The second unit I rented leaked water on my personal belongings during the trip and the trailer breaks were not working which caused excessive brake usage on my tow vehicle.

The team at Arlington South Self Storage when out of their way to assist me this last Sunday afternoon. When returning my rental after hours, I had mistakenly dropped my wallet in the cab, locking it and placing the truck keys in the night drop. I was able to call the after hours number on their recording and meet them later that evening at the site. Major save!!! Thank you very much.

The trailer had a 3/18 registration on it. You should not be renting trailers with expired tags. You would be responsible for any citations if a renter was to get a ticket.

This is not a negative review of the Arlington, Texas location on Harris Road. They were excellent. I reserved my trailer over 2 weeks in advance at a location 5 minutes from my house (I-20 in Grand Prairie, TX) for 6:00 p.m. Less than 3 hours before my pickup time I received a text saying the location had changed to a place about 25 minutes away. At that point I could not make up the time lost going so far away. They were nice but it took a while to get hooked up so I lost a very important hour plus in the day. By not finding out till less than 3 hours before I can't help but believe my trailer was given away to someone who just showed up, or at the least it was very poor planning. What good is it to reserve a trailer over 2 weeks in advance when the order is changed to another location far away less than 3 hours before. I hope the person that got my trailer felt lucky. Again, the people in Arlington were great. My beef is with this practice by U-Haul and probably the group in Grand Prairie off I-20, but I don't know whom to blame. Not happy.

The gas meter was not where they said it was. I ddi not take a picture and only traveled 13 miles. Had to put 15$ in the tank to meet there required amount. Unacceptable ..

It took almost an hour to get access to the keys using the U-Haul app. This process is poor and needs improvement. The app never showed me the code to gain access to the keys. I wasted 20 minutes chatting with the help desk on the app and he wasn't even able to tell me the code. I had to call customer service and waited 15 minutes before someone even answered the call. Then, once I got the code, it didn't work. I tried all the lock boxes and the code didn't work. Additionally, there was a pad lock on the trailer door that had it's own code, letters, not numbers. Once I got that code and opened the door to the trailer, the truck keys were inside the trailer. I got to the U-Haul site at 7:45am (8:00am appointment) and didn't gain access to the truck until about 8:40am. I will never use this app again to rent a truck and I may never use U-Haul again in the future. Very unhappy with this experience.

This was the worst experience I've ever had renting a U haul truck. The online registration was not user friendly. I had to call multiple times to get the reservation taken care or. I choose the 24/7 pickup so I could pick up the vehicle at 7 am on Saturday morning. That was such a fiasco and took over an hour to complete. The app on my phone and the man's phone that came with me never would work. We ended up having to wait over 30 minutes for the representative to arrive so we could get the vehicle. This representative was very unprofessional and said "crap" multiple times. I would like to speak to a manager regarding this situation and would like to credited all 3 days of the insurance ($14 per day) or some type of compensation for this horrible experience. We had people ready to help move my daughter that had to wait over 30 minutes for us to get the with a truck to load. My name is Cheryl Feild - my cell # is 817-980-5913. My dad and I have rented from u haul many times and we have had exceptional service. However at the Harris location we were very disappointed. When we saw our truck, we found that the right side mirrors were broken. The owner said that it was the only vehicle left and that it was ok because we bought insurance. We trusted him and decided to drive down. During our road trip, we had extreme difficulty driving because of the broken right side mirror. It was absolutely hell. We would not see anyone next to us or anyone behind us because of the mirror. We are extrmely disappointed in the truck.

Yes, if it's convenient to where they live. However, double check you get what you paid for. I paid for furniture pads and did not receive them. I was unable to go back to retrieve them because the location was closed from 4:00 pm Saturday until Monday. I had to borrow some from a friend. Very aggravating. I told the drop off location when I returned the truck. She called the W. Harris location and told them the situation and asked that I be refunded the cost. To date, I have not received a refund.

Dirty vehicle and a lot of scratches inside and out. Customer service rep does not have people skills and I was MADE to get the additional insurance. . .I Have used u-haul in the past and this is far below standards.
