Friendliness, promptness, and attitude needs to be improved. Workers also need more training, and/or U-Haul needs to improve it's software. U-Haul also needs to outline that, if paying cash, customers will need to put down a 100.00 deposit. In addition, they need to outline, make it evident on the website, that if a person has a prepaid debit card, it is treated as cash and they will need a 100 minimum balance on the card at the time of checkout. Vehicle seemed clean except some mud in the floor board and I did not experience any trouble with the vehicle at all. So they would a high rating from me in both of these aspects. The low points was that they didn't even offer a receipt, I had to ask for one, and all but one person acted like they absolutely did not want to be there. There was a woman to check me in, she was friendly. But the man that check me in did not even make eye contact with me and was very slow. I just felt that my business meant absolutely nothing to any of them except there was one man there, on the check in day, I didn't get a name, but now he was friendly and very helpful.


Misunderstood estimated miles when the first bill came out.The lady explained it to me at the last bill and cleared it up for me.Everyone was great to me.

Make sure the truck is actually clean. Not have the customer wait over 2 hours to be able to pick up the truck because of technical difficulties with the U-Haul website. (We were on hold most of that time- and the on-hold music is obnoxiously torturous, by the way) Easy pick up? Hardly!! Plus, the dolly we were charged for wasn't in the truck nor available as the location was closed.

Update system so that it computes what the customer selects. Not sure how to improve this but I fill the gas back to where my contract said and was still charged for more fuel on top of being charged for the more expensive insurance that I DID NOT select. This was by far the worst experience I have had with Uhaul and I have used them many times in the past.

Order was cancelled and I spent over an hour on the phone to get a truck... truck was under half full of gas... The dealership never supplied the dolly we reserved witch made our move very painful and difficult...NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THIS HOLE RENTAL FOR OUR MOVE

Ask if customer has any coupons or discounts. We are military and didn't know that you offered a discount so we were unable to take advantage of that offer.

When I request equipment at a location send me a email n let me know it there. They had a dolly at BC tool rental in Ironton Ohio . I had other business in Ironton that day but had to go to Ashland Ky to pick up a dolly. It was out of my way and cost me time.


These guys were great. I was in and out and on the road in less than 5 minutes with an impressive truck that ran well the whole trip. Thank you.

Went the extra mile and hooked me up with a motorcycle wheel chock free of charge. Which meant I didn't have to use the super cheap wheel chock I bought. We had 6 hours of driving through severe thunderstorms. So I was very please I had a secure way to protect my expensive bike. Thanks, Moyer's!

The truck was terrible!! Brakes were spongey, the truck shook and vibrated so much going down the road I thought I was on one of those cheap motel 25 cent vibrating beds. The staff at the location was great!! Will gladly use them again.

I answered the above questions regarding the LOCATION that the rental was picked up from, but the U-Haul system as a whole was absolutely awful. First, the truck I reserved online wasn't available. Things happen, I get that. They woman who called found me a different truck and gave me a discount due to the inconvenience, so that was fine. Then I went to pick my truck up after-hours, using my mobile phone to check in for the pickup. Part of the process was a test, choosing colored blocks according to a provided word. The ridiculous “reaction test” with the colored blocks was pointless and asinine. It did not state that it was a timed test. So after taking it, the site informed me that I could not pick up my rental truck. If you had told the former police officer and Army soldier, with hundreds of hours of drivers training and miles under his belt, that he was being tested then things would have been different. I called the customer service number and a woman informed me why I had been locked out of self pickup and suggested I cancel my rental and re-reserve a new one. So I called back and spoke to a man and told him that's what I wanted to do. He said he couldn't do that and suggested I call the regional office in Huntington, West Virginia. So I did, and that man said there was nothing he could do for me either, that he had no access to that particular system. He was able to reset the pickup procedure, but it still defaulted to the “so sorry for your inconvenience” screen when I tried to complete it. He said there was nothing more he could do, so my 2 hours spent sitting in my vehicle in the business parking lot was a waste. I was able to contact the owner of the business who hosts the rental, and he, while he was on VACATION, was able to do a rental contract with me over the phone. That man took care of his customer and provided me with service that was above reproach, allowing me to finally take my rental and get to the business of moving. Mr. Moyer deserves big thumbs up for his steadfast support of his customer and devotion to quality service. U-Haul as a company, though, needs to do some real assessment of their pick up program and the ability of their customer service representatives to provide assistance to paying customers.
