I was given a location and a time for my rental, yet the place was closed when I arrived to pickup the trailer. I waited 40 minutes just in-case, then I pinned the trailer onto my vehicle myself and sent and email to U-Haul with the trailer number. Considering the price to rent a simple trailer for 5 hours, the minimum one expects is decent service. Had I not been in a complete jam, I probably wouldn't have taken the trailer, but it was absolutely essential since I could not pull my motorcycle without it.

We waited in front of a closed Uhaul location for a full hour, trying to phone every Uhaul number we could for someone to show up at the time scheduled for the rental. Guy showed up an hour late with no apologies. Screwed my day because my helpers left as I had no truck and no way to tell if I was going to have one. Horrible experience
MICHAEL LI reserved the U-Haul months in advance to move our in laws from Quebec to New Hampshire. My husband and I flew one way and when we landed we confirmed our reservation. My husband and his father went to the U-Haul location they were told they didn’t have a reservation, despite having the confirmation email. Finally they found it and they were treated poorly, were told that we needed to go an hour and 42 min away to pick up the U-Haul, that they they didn’t have what we reserved. No apology, they did not care. I called when they came home after an hour of trying to speak to the man at the U-Haul center. I spoke to a woman over the phone who confirmed that U-Haul can change whatever they want at the last minute and there was nothing anyone can do. She did not care and was very unpleasant. Finally after pleading with her she found a place 42 minutes closer. My husband and I after 2 flights to Quebec had to drive over an hour away to pick up the new truck. Again, when we got to the U-Haul place, they didn’t recognize our reservation number or name. We were finally able to get our reservation found and we were able to pick up the truck.
