Overall the experience with U-haul was pretty terrible. This comment has no correlation to the location that we picked up or dropped off at and should not reflect poorly on them. Both places and staff were helpful and attentive. The issue lies mainly with your call center/customer service, who are misinformed and really lack in the customer service department. When we first made our reservation we confirmed multiple times about the drop-off location and that it would either be open or have a drop-off box and came to find out that night that neither of those facts rang true. After sitting on the phone with customer support for an hr + and being redirected between people and having to explain the situation multiple times, we were first told about a few different locations we could instead drive to to leave the truck (incurring additional fees, etc due to them being 30min - 1 hr drive) and then later were told to leave the truck at the closed location and hold onto the key. Fast forward to Monday morning/afternoon where the drop-off needed the key and we were snowed in handling phone calls/emails from customer support about how they needed the key and we refused to drop off at the suggested location that night, etc. Luckily we had a phone call from a Manager who handled everything and ensured we would not accrue any additional charges. Hopefully this feedback can be directed back to whomever oversees the customer support and some changes can be made. Thanks!

Stop screwing customers who reserve online. You make it appear that the equipment will be at our chosen location and you notify the Day before that you switched it to another. You did this twice to me this month. How dare you force your customers to move your equipment for you? An hour of my time and gas... twice. Very bad corporate decision. And you are screwing your dealers who have to deal with the irate customers. You are fools. Clearly state on your website that customers need to call their preferred location to see if that agent will locate and have the equipment when needed. Do this and you will solve this problem. Hey, you should be collecting feedback on your corporate folks too... it is called 360 degree feedback.

We are so grateful to have a U-Haul rental location located in our relatively small town. Not only was it convenient when I needed to move something with short notice. There is a very real potential to get locked inside the 9' U-Haul van. I know because it happened to me. Parked on a slope, the rear doors close on you while at the front of the van interior. If you are alone without a phone this is a problem.
