UHaul seriously screwed me over with my rental. I reserved a one way, 15ft box truck a month prior to my reservation date. The day before, they called me and told me they only had a 26ft box truck. Driving something like that as someone who is 5’2”, and only needing the space of a 15ft was just not possible. So I drove over an hour to the location to see what they could do for me. The only good part of this whole experience was the fact that James helped me with the price considering the situation. I ended up having to drive 5 hours, one way, empty the Uhaul, and then 5 hours back. The truck also could barely make it up the hill, and struggled to downshift when going down hills, even when empty. It sounded like it was going to blow up, and I didn’t feel safe driving it, at all, empty or full. The steering wheel also had to be turned left to go straight. Super thankful for James who helped me out as I had no other options, but the whole ordeal really was more stressful than the move itself.

Robert BParking Lot was a mud pit, truck smelled, and did not drive well. Most importantly U-Haul DID NOT have the size I reserved available. U-Haul did give me a $50 credit however, it did not make up for the extra time and miles I had to spend moving with a smaller truck. The rep who called to advise me of the situation the day before simply continued to give me policy. When I suggested U-Haul had time to locate another truck and/or offer to reimburse my extra miles he simply again quoted policy. Very poor service and very disappointed in lack of effort by U-Haul to solve the issue.
