Only thing I had problem with is I wanted the $20 truck and got charged for the $30 because location didnt have small one. I dont think I shoukd be charged extra when they didnt have what I ask for.

The owner of this U-Haul location was very rude and condescending to my cousin and the gentleman with him, who came to pick up the truck on my behalf as he was moving some bedroom furniture for me. Not only was my cousin clearly indicated as an additional driver via express checkout, but I called the owner to confirm such prior to pick up. The owner questioned my cousin repeatedly about how far he was going (which was only 5 miles in total), when he was going to bring it back (which I clearly indicated In my express checkout and verbally), and told my cousin three times to refill the gas tank, (we barely used any gas). Not only did we return the truck with no incident, we returned the truck with in two hours of rental. Furthermore, despite this owner's rude and condescending demeanor and tone, my cousin and a gentleman assisting him, refused to return the same type of treatment and maintained a polite and respectful tone as they were taught to respect their elders. Unbeknownst to me at the time of rental, the owner of this particular U-Haul location, has a reputation of treating African-American, potential or actual patrons, poorly. In this instance, his actions validated such a reputation, as my cousin and the other gentleman who were helping me move, observed the owner treat other patrons (who were Caucasian), served immediately ahead of them, politely and respectfully. My cousin and the other gentleman who were assisting me, were all African-American. I am sure a person with this type of attitude has no problem with me no longer patroning his establishment. Therefore, I expect no remorse or accountability from this owner for his actions. Persons with this type of mindset, feel no shame in their overt demonstration of such a value system. Consequently, this owner may rest of shored that I will no longer patron his establishment and will encourage others who respect and value equal treatment of others, to do the same.
