I reserved a 5x8 trailer ahead of time for pickup, when I showed up at my scheduled time they didn’t have one available onsite or anywhere near it. I had to pay more money to rent a larger 6x12 trailer. The signal lights on the trailer did not work even though I had to drive through the night, the trailer arm that attaches to my hitch was so lo to the ground that it scrapped the road and any speedbumps, or any inclines or declines more than 5 inches I couldn’t get over. I had to stop twice along my cross country drive to rearrange my trailer because it was way too big for the stuff I had in it(which is why I reserved the smaller trailer) that added 3-4 hours to my trip, and upon getting to my destination I had to stop and leave my U-Haul in Asheville, because I couldn’t make it up the hill to one of my destinations because the trailer arm wouldn’t make it over the hills, thus adding another hour and a half to my trip. I am not happy I was given a trailer that was way bigger than the one I reserved and also not happy the lights didn’t work but intermittently along with causing issues of safety being only a few inches from the ground the whole way.

Brakes were squealing, driver side door rubber seal had follen of in the past and had clearly been (poorly) glued back in place, and the kid that processed the vehicle pick up was an arrogant jerk. Oh, and I had to park my car on the street a block away? Wtf? Will never go to this location again.

I had to sweep out the trailer, as it wasn’t as clean as I needed to carry furniture. It was easy to tow and worked well. I was very pleased.

Unprofessional. Called me three times about not dropping of the key when I did and complained that maybe one of their employees had it but wanted to check with me, before checking with his staff. I also have 3 different charges from uhaul when there should only be one. Will not be using again

The staff were okay for uhaul (I don’t think I’ve had a single truly positive experience in the 20 years I’ve been renting uhauls periodically). What really sketched me out this time was that two separate employees took pictures of my drivers license with their personal phones (to upload to the website, but still—that means my personal info is on two random dudes phones). Still, the van was brand-new and got the job done.

I wrote a long letter to management. I have never been trearted more rudely, misquoted & overcharged like this in my life! You are welcome to call, but I've already spent so much time trying to correct what call center told me, and hoiw awful individual field office was...not to mention completely ibncorrect information about rates,m etc. I have no idea who us correct. Just that when I went to get my reserved vehicle, they had no idea what I was talking about (weeklong, 800 mile rental) & refused to even piull up page one on your uhaul screen so I could show tghem what I reserved abnd what this deal is thats actually advertised. When I asked to speak to supervisor he got obn phone, says"We don't give special deals to anyone!" and hung up on me! They were insisting the .59 cents a mile/in town rental; I was told y call center 3 times that rental was monday to monday 24/7 (triple checked, I've rented cars before)...had to get a copy of comtract when I got back which mean t more time on phone with call center...(field office waited 1/2 hour before othering to tell me myt call had been forwarded to filed offices when I made reservation; they just insisted there were no women working there, when I told them a lady took my info, reservation, etc...like I was lying to them. I got truck back at 10pm 6/11/18, pucked up 6/418 at 6:45 pm and was told repatedly monday monday 24/7....the first copy of contract that was ever sent to me was yesterday, after callinbg call center so I had something thatr verufied what I had been told on phone. THE FIRST COPY! I had tyruyck back to field office by 10pm and they tacked o an extra $79.00. I was told as long as i had truck back same day of week I rented for lon g distance (800 mils limit) or ,29 cents a day for milkes over 800. I put 778 or 788 on truck...$79.00 for extra day? I brought it back in perfect condition, no wash or gas needed, the day I was told to. Please adjust my charges, and send out a memeo to all your field offices telling themn what uhaul actually offers, and how to NOT TREAT paying customers. I am 53 years old. I've rented vehicles before!

First of all, I will never us uhaul.com again. It scheduled a pickup at 8:00, then dropped the order online without me knowing. The movers order went through, but no truck. When I did get one, the place opened at 9:00. I was there at 9:00, 4 people in line and 1 person working. I lost 1 1/2-2 hours because of u-haul. Also, you cannot part your car in the lot. I had to find somewhere to park my car and walk back. It was ridiculous. The guy at the location was nice and helpful. U-haul needs to either upgrade that website or trash it. It was not helpful.

The trailer that I rented had expired out of state plates on it. It also was a little hard to open and shut the door on it because it did not move freely. This location has excellent customer service. Matt W. was very helpful and friendly. He helped my hook the trailer up and the whole process was quick and stress free. I would highly recommend them.

The only problems I had with this location were 1. really long phone call wait times to call about our reservation, 10 minutes minimum each time I called I had to wait on hold 2. The first couple of times I called, I communicated that I wanted a certain type of truck, only to receive a confirmation email that I had reserved another type (specifically, I wanted a 20 foot truck and the reservation was for a 10 foot truck), and then I made it clear that I wanted to return it at the end of the day, and the reservation confirmation I received said that it was due back at 9 a.m. that day. Aside from those two issues, everyone I spoke with was friendly and professional.

I was contacted by a U-Haul of Boulder employee on the day of my reservation who demanded to know when I would be there to pick up the truck. I tried to explain that I had to meet with my landlord to get keys to my apartment, but he cut me off and was extremely rude. Rather than argue with him, I asked to speak with the manager. I was shocked to learn that he was the manager! Next he demanded that I tell him when I would pick up my truck, otherwise he would cancel my reservation. His tone was the opposite of customer friendly, in fact, I started to get angry at him for being so rude, but then I just stopped talking to him because I unfortunately needed the truck. I did try to find a different U-Haul in the area because I do not want to deal with this person ever. It was Memorial Day weekend and I couldn't find another truck, so I just sucked it up. You should know that one of the other U-Haul people told me that the North Boulder U-Haul has a reputation for being rude and unfriendly. I am moving again in 6 months and I can promise you that I will not support North Boulder U-Haul, in fact, I will go out of my way to find a different company to do business with.

Everyone I had contact with, from the initial booking agent to the staff at the pickup location in Boulder and at the drop off point (both my original one an the alternate one I went to after-hours) was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The equipment worked as expected with no problems and the the price was very reasonable. Overall I am very pleased with my U-Haul experience. Thanks!

Make sure when you say the tank is full that is really is. For 25 miles of driving, I filled the tank with 3.3 gallons of fuel. I can only assume that the tank was not really full, or that this small truck gets less than 8 miles to the gallon.

I added an additional driver in online check in, yet it wasn’t on the computer at U-Haul when I went for pickup, so I had to provide the information again.
