I chose to pick up from the office hoping it would be less annoying than a mobile pickup. I also chose an appliance dolly. I found out upon arriving that there is no office. In fact there is nobody that does anything with uhaul on site at all. You have to call a dude and basically do a mobile pickup but with more steps, including bringing the phone on speaker to the gas stations cashier to find the key. If he's not available when you call you just sit around and wait. Also found out upon pickup, they don't have dollies at all. Luckily we had a backup or we would have had to stop everything and hunt down a dolly last minute. The truck was also dirty. Nothing terrible, but since there's no employees there's nobody to sweep the trucks out.

UHAUL APP/MOBILE PICKUP is HORRIBLE. I had a chance to select counter pickup but the location staff isn't trained for that. Doing the mobile app requires me to basically check myself in and out yet I don't get a discount for UHUAL not having to own a facility, provide staff with wages and healthcare.. You eliminated jobs, padded your bottom line and it only improved the outcome for UHAUL, not the consumer, not America.
Matthew MThis express pickup is anything but. The app and website are difficult to use and the locations know zero about the process and couldn’t care less. I will pick up from a staffed, corporate location in the future if I need. This experience was absolutely a pain.

Matthew nIt was a Chevron gas station where you park the truck on the side of the convenience store. Check in automated and takes about 10 minutes but easy.
