The hitch was put on our car wrong, the trailer was dragging as soon as it was loaded because of this. The chains were put on wrong and illegally, not crossed. Very nice people but these issues caused us to be about 5 hours late leaving on a 32 hour drive. The trailer itself wasn't clean. The inside was fine, the outside was filthy. There was an inch or 2 of mud/dirt built up on the tire shield things.
Sam & Mary's staff was wonderful and incredibly helpful. Uhaul app was horrible and the agent I got assigned left me standing in the rain freezing. The location was great, the support agent on app, horrible.
My truck was ready and clean. I used my phone to check in and out. I would definitely recommend them
A little honesty would help. Wife was quoted a price of 29.95. I picked the truck up unaware of the quote price, and was charged 58.40. $ 14.00 of which , was an insurance charge. Insurance I did not ask for, nor was told I was purchasing. My auto insurance would have covered this and I would have declined the insurance had I known it was included. Taxes and fees are understandable, an underhanded grab of an extra $14 is another matter. $14 is not going to make or break me, but I guess if you make this every time you rent something it ads up. Rented uhauls several times over the years and , this is my first poor experience. Lesson learned. Check all your paperwork and don't trust these people.

I personally wanted to speak with a representative to document the return of the equipment rented. the drop off was kinda self explanatory trailers on the right I guess trucks to the left. drop boxes on the outside wall.
Hideous experience. Truly the worst interaction I could imagine. The building is simply terrifying. To say it is filthy is not giving it any justice. I could not even find the entrance as it is not marked. There are dogs in the office that bark at you as you enter. There is nobody to greet you nor a location to be greeted. The guy simply walked past me and I did not know if he worked there. Honestly, I have tons of feedback on how horrible this was and would love to talk with and executive. Easy drop off location. Randomly located and if it wasn't because we saw other trucks there we would have now known we had arrived. Maybe a sign or two would help

Better explanation of rates. Surprise fees ($30) were unexpected as was the â€œsuggestedâ€ daily insurance.
I only had one bar of cell service with AT &T at this location...It took 15 minutes to get approval and get directions to get the car for pickup. If you did a pre-approval, that would save time for sure...I would contact AT&T about cell service at this spot too, or move locations...
they changed locations on us and had to pick the trailer up over 30 minutes away rather than 5. Told us to pick up the trailer on Friday rather than Saturday as we requested and charged us an extra day. Was told I was getting a $50 refund for the location mix-up and the $37.50 back for the extra day. haven't seen it on my card.

UHaul could not find my location when I tried to check in. My location settings were on. We called customer support and waited for 15 minutes. In the mean time we tried two other phones and finally got through on one of those

k two thingsâ€¦ When we picked up the truck at 2:30 PM it only had 1/4 tank a gas so had to stop to take care of that, I paid for a dolly not realizing there was already one in the truck! Also, I paid for a 12 pad cover which they did not useâ€¦ Not the fault of U-Haul but I thought they might have given me a credit which they did not
I was completely frustrated with my experience with U-Haul. I have used U-Haul several times the last few years, but after this experience, this will be my last time. I understand this is a difficult time to navigate through with COVID-19 but if you open and are going to provide service, customers expect you to follow through with what they signed up for and are paying for. I made a reservation for a truck rental a week before my move date. A few minutes after I made the reservation, a U-Haul rep called me to inform me that my preferred location did not have the truck I was looking for, and they directed me to a different location. No big deal. You would think that when they change locations on you, that their reservation details in the following emails would reflect that change. I received an email the day before with instructions on what to do on the day of my rental. On the same email, it told me to go to my preferred location, and then later on in the email, it told me to go to the one it was changed to. Very confusing. The email said I had 24/7 service available, and I could check out the truck at any time, but I went at my reserved time. I arrived at the U-Haul location at 9:00 AM. This was the time I had reserved, and was listed on my reservation. I went through the mobile check-in process and got to the point where I had to open the lockbox to pick up the keys. The lockbox was empty, and no keys were inside. While on the app, I messaged the live help on the customer service. The rep told me to go visit another U-Haul location. Didn't say which location, or explain why there were no keys in the box. I called the local number. The person I spoke with kept telling me they were looking into the issue. I was on the phone with them over a half hour with them coming back every five minutes or so to say give them a little more time while they were looking into the issue. I think all they were doing is stalling to wait until the store location was open at 10:00. I wasted over an hour of my time picking up the truck. It wouldn't have been so bad if I was the only one affected, but I had several movers lined up to help me at each location. This was not only a complete waste of my time, but also all of the people that were helping me move. Once the store owner got to the store, he was at least somewhat helpful. I was very upset with him at first, because he was cursing and made it sound like it was my fault as he said customers usually don't check out correctly and they never do anything correctly, but after he looked up all of my information and saw that I did everything I was supposed to do, he was helpful and gave me the keys. Before leaving, I checked out the back of the truck to make sure the furniture pads I ordered were on the truck, as I've been burned several times by U-Haul in the past by not including the equipment I reserve. There was a dolly which I did not reserve, but the dozen furniture pads
Our move was successful. Picking up and dropping off was challenging because of the pandemic effect on communication. Would rent here in the future if needed.
