clean off all the snow, i slipped on the snow on the back if the van and fell, as a diabetic person a bruise is very bad, and i bruise myself very bad.

Customer service rep was on his cell phone the entire time. Staff did not walk me to the vehicle they left me to find it on my own. Mileage and gas was incorrect on print out in customer service or her but refuse to do a new form he just scribbled what was indicated on the paper with the pen which in gas was incorrect. I was charged for furniture pads that I did not receive so when I went to drop off the truck the other u-haul was looking for the pads. This was horrible and I would never recommend anyone use that site

The customer service agent could use some more training he wasn't very familiar with the device to close out the contract. I waited quite awhile until he finally asked someone else how to use the scanner.

I rented an auto transport trailer. Setting up the appointement online was easy. The trailer itself has certainly seen better days. Looks to be pretty old and I don't think one panel was straight on the entire thing. The license plate looked like it had been bent and straightened no less than 500 times. It was barely legible. Luckily I did not get pulled over for it. The light for the license plate had very clearly JUST been replaced as it was nice and shiny. Someone wired the light and felt that was enough. They didn't bother to actually secure the light to the trailer in any way. The gentleman who helped setup the trailer to my truck felt that wrapping the light around the frame of the trailer several times was sufficient. I asked if we could at least duct tape it down. He declined and felt "it was good" I told him I was concerned the light could fall off. He said we won't charge you if it does. He told me my trailer was good to go. Naturally he did not inspire much confidence in me so I decided to pull over and inspect. Luckily for me and everyone else on the road I did that. I found the trailer was not latched onto my trailer ball at all. It was sitting ontop of the ball with ought actually being engaged. He did attach the two safety chains but did not attach the third chain for the safety brake on the trailer. One of the straps to secure the wheels of the car being towed was rather frayed but more so on the post buckle end so I felt it was safe to use. Despite the poor condition of the trailer it did do it's job with no issues.

Please give the young man that helped me a bit more customer service training. He sucked! He does not need firing but rather a bit more help in how to assist customers. He was not clear at all. When I told him he sucked, he shoved the key at me and left me to find the car on my own. I found it, no problem! I had no idea where to return the key, he gave no instructions. I did not even know he was finished with me, he just starting walking and then looked back over his shoulder and said I would show you. The paper work was still on the counter, like I could not believe he was helping me. I asked him if the paperwork was mine. I was totally confused. Maybe he was prejudging me, I have no idea. Either way, his customer services skills needs help! It was a mess. I would still recommend the location, no problem at all.

Make sure that you are greeted when checking in your equipment apon return. Also there was only one person working the counter, making me wait too long. Also service with a smile and an attitude of service, instead of an attitude of unhappiness for having to do their job. Seems like a bit of customer service training is in order. Do your best no matter what you are doing. I was able to turn the attitude of negativity around by my own attitude, but initial impressions were less than positive. Positive attitude positive tone of voice, and motivation is important for repeat business. There are far too many uhaul locations for folks to choose from, so make the effort for your own business sake, but also because it's the right way to be to have compassion and kindness for others. Gas level was not full and was told it was, and it was only 3/8th s tank. Then I was told to check mileage, and I feel the attendant should have checked both of these for me, because it caused me to have to go back and forth a few times. It was also dark and could not figure out the controls right away wipers, lights , because no one came out to show me. The number written on the key, was barely readable. It should have been rewritten. Someone should have shown me to the vehicle, or brought the truck up.

Told him truck has many problems shrugged his shoulders and he said every uhaul is different i just started working here and everyone does their own thing. Told him there are many issues the truck isnt in the best condition.

Made the reservation for 24 hour rental. When I arrived, the assistant manager said they no longer do 24 hour rentals. That I had reached a reservation annex. They did after much back and forth agree to allow me the 24 hour rental. But, they were kin of taken aback that I was adament about what I had reserved.

It was just busy. The original truck I rented had a dead battery but those circumstances were beyond the control of Uhaul and it's employees. I was a little bothered by a fee imposed if the gas was less that when picked up simply because I went to a gas station before returning it and the drive dropped the needle a fraction below where it was suppose to be. I had to get gas again rather than be charged an exhorbitant $30 fee. But the employees were very respectful and firm about this policy. I appreciated how they handled it and I minded less because of their approach.

Information about our reservation location was changed an not explained. The original location of Stoughton, MA was not very willing to help with the confusion. This resulted in us spending more on mileage.

The truck with only 1200 miles kept shutting down, all kinds of warnings lights. The driver, with a CDL, was informed enough of truck mechanics, he checked oil and all the fluids which were fine. He also versed enough to check the owners manual to ascertain that although difficult to drive, it was still safe to drive.No information was given to us at the location we rented it from as to who to call for assistance in such a circumstance. The area we moved to had spotty service so we were unable to get reliable signal either. It delayed our arrival at our new location, as there was little power to the engine, the truck kept shutting down, it had black/grey oily smoke coming from the engine. It was only after everything was removed from the truck that all the warning lights went out. It was EXTREMELY frustrating and overwhelming. I would like a refund for my miles used as compensation at the very least. I recently had a spinal fusion and a subsequent infection. The stress and frustration from this, sent my back into agonizing spasms that left me unable to even climb the stairs into my new home. I was told by roadside assistance we should have called as soon as the lights came on. I explained the phone service issue, but also stated there was no way we could have unloaded the truck into a new one, which is why we continued. Roadside service explained they would have towed the truck to our location. I believe this should be explained to customers at the time of rental. I used Uhaul as it has such an excellent reputation. Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience.
