Excellent service from Taylor at the Rte. 9 office. Also, very impressed with the new Ford Van, which is now safer to drive because of its side-view mirrors and other new features and is more comfortable for the driver.

I have rented from this site maybe 10 times over the years. This was the first time I even heard of equipment not being returned to the rental site, but having to be returned elsewhere. It was extremely inconvenient. It seemed like I was distributing U-Haul's equipment for you, costing me time and $$$. The person who set me up did a nice thing, in starting the vehicle so it would be warmed up by the time I drove off. However 1) She would not speak up. I'm 64. My hearing is imperfect. 90% of the time, I don't have trouble carrying on a conversation. She NEVER spoke loudly enough for me to hear, even after I told her that I was slightly deaf and needed her to speak up. It got tiresome, asking her to repeat herself, over and over. 2) She had trouble operating the software. I swiped, and she looked at a screen, waited, typed a little waited - it seems like 2 or 3 minutes went by, when such transactions normally take a few seconds. This was AFTER doing all the data entry stuff about address and insurance, etc. Then I had to swipe again, and another 1 or 2 minutes went by before whatever we were waiting for happened. I don't know if that's because the system was down, or what? It was unpleasant because I had people waiting for me to show up with the truck. 3) The woman expressly told me that the "return it clean" requirement did not apply to dirt. I was cleaning out a rental property basement and also tossing a lot of old lawn debris, and anticipated that there would be dirt. She expressly told me that the cleaning fee would apply if I left a rope tied to the truck. That didn't make sense to me, but I took her at her word. When I was done dumping the stuff, I took a couple minutes to "sweep" crap out of the truck with the lid of a bin -- which wasn't very efficient. I didn't do a great job. But I didn't leave a rope tied anywhere. NOW I find myself with a $25 cleaning fee. That's wrong on two counts. First, I was told that dirt was not the issue -- nonsensical as that sounds. Second, $25 for five minutes work with a broom is a terrible rip-off. I feel like U-Haul stole $25 from me yesterday -- after expressly lying to me.

My experience here was fine. "Clean and Inviting" received a no only because the main building was under construction, and there was not enough space in the trailer for the customer ahead of me and myself.

The floor of our UHaul was recently painted, which meant that all of our boxes and materials stuck to the floor, and some items were damaged when we needed to take them out of the box truck. The floor was also extremely slippery due to the fact that it had just been cleaned, and two of our girls actually slipped and fell on the floor. Pick up and drop off were easy, and the price was good, just disappointed with the truck itself.

I called about 20 minutes before picking up my vehicle to ask about parking. The person who answered, whose name was Andre, said that there was a small lot I could park in and leave my car for a few hours while I used the truck. If that wasn't the case, I would have taken a rideshare. I arrived at the location looking for the lot, and I was told by the employee there (Gio) that he was the only person there. My call had likely been rerouted to either a central customer service location or another pickup location, who then proceeded to answer my question with no actual knowledge of the location I was talking about, and that no such lot existed. I ended up with a $30 parking ticket.

The receipt says I used 13 miles but I actually used 12 mile. Next time I will take a picture of the miles for proof
