I rent uhaul almost every two weeks, because of the business we have. This time the minitruck I had was the dirtiest and the loudest old truck I ever drove. I only use it because there was no other truck available at the time and my use is only local. I can certainly say the this truck wouldn’t make it to NJ OR CONNECTICUT on the conditions.

Overall the service is good. However, I rent my van is a gas station. They do not provide equipment. This is not really good.
yu-chuan cI had to pay for gas when I picked up the rental because it was left on empty, and I could not drive anywhere. They told me that they would give me credit for the gas, and they would do the check out for me. Rather than give me credit, they charged me an extra $93 for miles that I didn't even drive, and when I called to get it fixed, they told me there was nothing they could do for me and I should call customer service. Customer Service wasn't much better; all I was provided with was a reference number and a "promise" that a manager would be in touch with me in the next 3-5 business days. Absolutely ridiculous. They signed my name on the receipt without my permission. I just want my money back. What a scam.
Hailey EStop letting me book dollys and blankets your stores don’t have or offer. This location doesn’t even provide those , you should tell customers that when they book a truck. And stop letting me book a truck if you’re just going to change the location 5 minutes after I book it.
Thomas GEverything. This was a truly awful experience. And I will never use U-Haul again. Starting with the fact that when we arrived at the dealer there was no clear sign as to where the check in was. Then the attendant said they didn’t have a dolly or blankets, both of which I had ordered beforehand, for a major move. And when I requested them he was surly and rude and asked me why I was moving, which was none of his business and was in general horrible hospitality. Then the QR code didn’t work, even though, again, I had confirmed my usage days before. Then the truck itself was dirty and poorly maintained. The rusted door lock took forever to undo each time we used it, and became progressively worse as the day went on. Then when we returned the vehicle to the exact same location, in the exact same spot we had picked it up in, the second attendant refused to believe I had picked it up there and disputed the fact. Then he told me I’d better sign out via some phone app or I’d be charged extra, even though, again I’d had a confirmed agreement and amount days earlier. With, btw, was for $59 and somehow the ultimate total ended up being $100. Who runs this operation? The service was horrid, the truck was falling apart, and the left hand had no idea what the right hand was doing. I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone. There are way too many other significantly better options out there.
