I reserved at a store in College Station. The day before they called and said they did not have it and sent me an extra 2 hours away. What’s the point of a reservation system if it does not reserve what it says it will? Very frustrating.

RICHARD MThe right brake/hazard lights on the trailer did not work when I checked at pickup. The person at the location then claimed they did work when he checked. I find that hard to believe since there was an electrical issue with the wiring and I needed to call roadside assistance the following day. When I called back for assistance, I left a message because the person who answered the phone was not the UHaul person. I never received a call back. No place to enter comments for assistance at the 800 UHaul number so will enter here. Over two calls lasting over 45 minutes total, and nine transfers, speaking to eight people, I FINALLY spoke to someone who was willing to submit a ticket to get my question answered since she could not assist. I was calling to request an additional day on my trailer rental since I was delayed a day due to the electrical wiring issue. I started with attempting to extend on the app (no luck), the website (no luck), then called the 800 number and was told to call the pickup location (I did, no one called me back), and the drop off location (automatically rings the 800 UHaul number). This request should not have been that difficult, but it was. I called the 800 number to arrange the roadside assistance, so there should have been a record, but one person I spoke with said she could not see any record of me calling to request roadside assistance. Someone from UHaul did email me and extend my rental by one day at no charge. I highly recommend UHaul AUTOMATICALLY add additional day(s) when roadside assistance is called, and/or someone from UHaul should call the customer to ask if additional days are needed. Because of this hassle (and no military discount), I will do my best to never use UHaul again.
