The check out process took a long time. The site showed a different, lower price. I thought by providing information ahead of time it would have made the experience faster. The pickup site had my home address as drop off location. The U-Haul app showed San Antonio. It would be nice if the 2 systems synced better. Also, the connector for lights for the trailer was loose. We had to use electrical tape to ensure the lights stayed on during use. No other trailers that we’ve used had this issue so we know it was not our vehicle connector.
Kari DMy issue is not with the specific location, but more with UHaul. Apparently, UHaul decided they are renting "first borns" instead of moving equipment? I do not enjoy the interrogation every time I want to rent a trailer. SPECIFICALLY, calling my "Emergency Contact" to verify! If it's an emergency contact, you call it if an emergency warrants. It's not an emergency contact anymore; it's a character verification! For this reason, I avoid renting uhaul equipment whenever possible. I get much less interrogation renting a $50,000 car than renting a $3000 trailer.
Tim BSome signage would be helpful. The location is in a gas station with nothing saying where to go. After a lady finished buying her snacks and drinks, I asked the clerk where the U-haul office was and it turned out to be just him.
