The stage facility is very difficult to access and the units were so high off the ground that it made it very difficult. For self-storage, was not a great option practically.

Being charged for an extra day is a ripoff. Had I known that I would be charged for two full days despite the location being closed, I would have kept it for 23 more hours and gotten my money's worth. I did not get my money's worth and will not use U-haul with my next move.

I was generally very impressed! I walked in and found 5 people in line and only 1 person at a register, but she was very efficient and moved all of us through in 5 minutes. The pick up and drop off were smooth and the whole thing was much easier than i would have imagined!

super friendly and competent staff at the Central Square Cambridge location. the rental van was very clean and modern with plenty of storage space to move an entire 1 bedroom apartment 2 loads. i especially loved the rear view camera allowing me to see the distance behind me when backing up! the after hours drop-off was also very easy and convenient. thank you U-Haul!

The truck we reserved (10') was not available and they claimed we did not reserve a 10' truck despite us having an email confirmation with that information in it. They also did not have any 7' trucks available so only offered us a van or a 17' truck (for which they would charge us more). We weren't comfortable driving a 17' truck anyway and so we had to take a van, which meant we had to take multiple trips with our movers, spending much longer and paying an extra $100 for the movers. Unacceptable treatment for someone with a reservation, especially without any prior notice so we could have figured out a different solution (e.g. going to a different location) in advance.

Returning the van after hours was difficult - we were instructed to park it at a meter on the street - THERE WAS NOWHERE TO PARK. In addition, there were groups of people trying to pick up their vans they had reserved online but could not get to, since there is nowhere to park, and vans that were assigned to used were blocked in by others.

I was charged 42 for insurance and was not told or asked. Didn't realize it until I reviewed my bill after. I had preregistered and declined. But at the store the agent just had me sign the new contract and she had included it without telling me. Not right.

This is the WORST experience that I ever had with any rentals. VERY VERY RUDE STAFF except the general manager. I can simply say from the bottom of my heart that this is the worst location and worst staff ever. Why do you require a passport to hold on if I can give my State ID to hold on. The rules are just like shit because, While driving a vehicle, if the police asks for license (International driving license) we are supposed to show our passport along with the international license. But how can I show my passport if it is with you? So, basically you wont provide truck rentals for people with international driving permits where as other rental agencies happily provide us. They provide us the best customer service which is far better than Uhaul. THE PRICE IS VERY HIGH AND THE OVERALL SERVICE WONT DESERVE THAT PRICE AT ALL. I wont recommend uhaul to any of my friend and the location too.

The worker who helped me was extremely rude and was unable to answer any of my questions. Made me feel like my business was an extreme burden. Additionally she refused to carry equipment for me and wouldn't open any doors as I lugged it to my truck. Once at the truck she didn't offer to help me put my stuff in the back or offer to pull out the truck for me as it was in a very tight spot. Once I opened the back there was tons of furniture pads, 4-6 furniture dollies, and other items that I did not purchase.

U-Haul did so many things wrong: 1. Moved my reservation to a different location about 10 miles away. 2. Had one person working at the time of my pick up, so I had to wait 30 minutes past my reservation. What is the point of a reservation if I have to wait 30 minutes for a 3 minute conversation at the counter? 3. Changed the drop-off time from 9PM to 4:45PM. This made things incredibly difficult and ensured I would get an additional charge. 4. Did not include the additional items I requested and paid for. Seriously. You had one job. I am absolutely appalled by the terrible service! The only thing U-Haul got right was the type of vehicle: you moved the location, the time, and forgot key parts of my order. The next time I will get a truck from anywhere else, and until then I will tell my friends to stay far away (and get a car from budget, zipcar, craigslist, etc). Waste of money and time. P.S. I will be posting the same review to Yelp, because I am sure you will not read this.

Please make sure to coordinate U-Haul Corporate with U-haul local. We received conflicting information from U-Haul Corporate that invariably made things more difficult when approaching U-haul local. The rules/regulations need to be standardized throughout both macro and micro scale.
