It is really awful to book weeks in advance and be told that UHaul can't confirm the pick up time until the day before. Furthermore, after reserving a 10-foot truck a month in advance, I was informed with 24 hours to go that the pickup location I had selected did not carry 10-foot trucks, and if I wanted that size I would need to go 30 minutes out of my way. I have no problem with the Cambridge Central Square location -- but UHaul's reservation and scheduling system absolutely sucks!

the staff was very rude, especially the manager that reserved the van. He didn't even made the reservation! we came back to pick up the van and we weren't on the sistem. The only polite person was a guy that looked like new, he helped us a lot!

On The morning of June 10th between 8:3 and 9:30, there were more than 30 customers waiting to check in and there were only one worker to serve all these people. I waited for more than one hour. There are three other counters but there were no one to help the poor shop owner until around 9:15am. The wait is too long. That's the main reason for the average rating from me. Other than that, we purchased additional packing material from online when we booked our truck. The purchase did not went through but we were not notified at all. We only knew it when we are about to pick up the packing materials together with the truck, were being told that we did not order any. It took the shop owner an additional 15 min to go back to the ordering system to find what did we order (we did order a lot and could not remember the exact kind and number at the scene) because he has to attend three other customer. There could have been bettter planning for the work force there. The truck drove nicely and everything else worked well.

We couldn't find what type of fuel the van used, as it wasn't written anywhere visible in the van or contract. A sticker next to the fuel opening would be very useful.

Despite the formidable looking locks on the outside of the units inside the different storage units are separated only by a thin sheets of wood held together with ordinary Philips head screws with the and the upper-level units have chicken-wire roofs. I came back after 3 weeks away to find mice nests in my storage bins and had to throw out a couch and numerous other items which had been soiled by rodent urine. If I had known how poor the conditions were I would have made other arrangements to store my belongings.

We had reserved our truck for 9am, but when we arrived at 8:50 to pick it up, there was such a long queue that it was 9:30 before we got the truck. There should have been more staff on duty, or at least a warning that there would be a wait. I reserved a 10ft truck, but the woman gave me a cargo van, and convinced me that that was what I had reserved (I checked my reservation email later and saw that I had reserved a 10ft truck, as I thought). The place was so busy and we were so rushed that I did not have time to check my confirmation email while we were there. The cargo van was not large enough for our move.

There was a humongous line with only one person working in the morning for the pick up that took over an hour to get through. Considering you know how many people are going to show up when via reservations, you should scale staff accordingly.

More clarity about what on earth to do to turn in a truck "after hours." Or even have an employee mention that after hours conditions exist, especially when I'm literally picking up my truck as the shop closes. Everything went smoothly because I'm not a moron, but I did spend about 15 minutes deciding where on earth I should park the damn truck.

hire more employees. gas lvl was incorrect, supervisor simply scribbled on my receipt which was NOT accepted in Chicago resulting in additional cost to me the customer. employee never updated my contract online.

Rental was easy and fast on-site and possible even with debit card. The spot for after-hour return can become a bit overfilled, so the last 2 vehicles dont fit fully into the parking lot of u-haul, but it was accepted just like that
