more thorough checkout process would be better. everyone was friendly and made it easy, but i work for a truck rental store and we walk customers around the truck so they see the damage, fuel level, and mileage before they leave the lot.

I reserved furniture pads when I made the rental reservation, but when I got the truck, no pads were available. When I returned the truck, the manager adjusted my invoice for not having the pads. His action exceeded my expectations.

I think when the vehicle is returned with more gas than when started there should be some kind of credit. We got it on 1/4 tank an returned with 1/2 tank. $5,00-$10.00 credit would be nice considering you charge $3.50 a gallon for what's not there.

The front cab had hair all over from like a dog or cat. It got my allergies flared up and i was up all night long with throat problems. The rest of the van was good.

I turned in my trailer an hour after it was due and was charged for an entire extra day. The kicker is that this location was closed prior to the time I was supposed to return it so I know for a fact they didn’t lose any business because of me. I’ve used uhaul plenty of times but from now on I am going to do everything I can to find other options.

The guy who helped us when we picked it up (I can't remember his name!) was AWESOME! Very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and even took the time to answer our questions that didn't at all pertain to the trailer we were in the process of hooking up. My only other comment is that there were other vehicles blocking the big u-turn area, so we had to backtrack and take an alternate exit. It was absolutely no big deal because my boyfriend was driving and knows how to maneuver a vehicle towing a trailer. If I were alone, however, I would have had to wait until the pull-through was unblocked....or else just played bumper car until I figured out how to reverse with the trailer! :) Other than that, it was great!

When I first came in to reserve, the customer service rep was very lackadaisical and acted like he did not want to be there at all and was complaining about how tired he was. When I came back to get my car transport, that manager was very friendly and helpful

Went in on Sunday to pick up trailer. Only one person working the entire facility. This caused long wait times. I told them I could not wait and would pick up trailer on Monday.

Our reservation was for 7 am on July 2, 2018; at 8:15 an employee finally showed up and unlocked the door. There were five other customers also experiencing this extended wait, all of whom were calling customer service. Monteal Pearson was the person who showed up; he was quick and efficient and worked diligently to resolve the level of rancor that had developed with unserved customers. His determination in making the best of an unfortunate situation is highly commendable. Our reservation was made in person a few days prior with Deondre Jenkins; when we called during our 75 minute wait, we discovered Deondre had entered an invalid area code for a contact, thus making our reservation difficult to find when we called U-Haul customer service to inquire about the store not yet being opened. U-Haul customer service offered a $50 credit for the store not being opened when advertised and promised. Our trailer rental was $35. When returning the trailer, Deondre Jenkins was the person in the store. When inquiring about the $15 difference, he said that was possible; then, upon detaching the trailer, he said he'd have to call his General Manager as he wasn't sure. Entering the store, he had called some entity he called "Traffic" (with no explanation as to who this was being offered or given); upon his hanging up Deondre was asked about contacting his general manager. Deondre stated he didn't have the phone number. When Deondre was asked how he goes about contacting his general manager when situations such as this arise, he said he'd just talked to "Traffic" - again mentioning an entity unknown to us. He was becoming very evasive in answering the pertinent questions he was being asked and he was also talking in circles. At one point Deondre began talking over my son, who asked him to not talk over him. Deondre then gave my son a glaring look and yelled "And you can leave!" When my son asked Deondre if this was the typical U-Haul level of service, if he was attempting to keep promises made by U-Haul (a line stated to me while on hold with U-Haul customer service that morning), and about the old adage of the customer always being right, Deondre again yelled at us, saying the customer was not right and we needed to leave now. It should also be noted other customers were in the store when Deondre decided to act in this manner. Our concern is whether the behavior displayed by Deondre, after a series of mistakes by U-Haul representatives, is something that U-Haul corporation condones or encourages. Deondre's behavior leading up to and including his emotional and immature explosion was not admirable and quite unnecessary. The behavior we were subjected to is both grossly unprofessional and rather disappointing since he represents U-Haul. While there were other bothersome traits displayed by Deondre we really want to focus on the image he portrays when interacting with the public and the image his mannerisms effectively project.

I reserved a 15 ft truck a week in advance and when I get there they didn’t have a 15ft truck. I called customer service to make my reservation but uhaul told me at their store that the customer service has no idea what trucks they do or don’t have. So I had to get their last and only truck which was a 10ft truck and I had to pay double for my mileage because I had to make more trips to move my stuff. Very disappointed that there was no compensation for my situation.

Everything went smooth from the help I received picking the truck up, to dropping it off. The gentleman that helped me yesterday was very thorough & genuinely nice. Uhaul is lucky to have him! I believe his name is Terrance.

Did not perform a walk through, truck I was assigned to was not available, was just given a truck I asked if it needed to be checked out I was told no it's good to go, I drove to Marion IL to pick up auto transport and found the driver side headlight was out as well as passenger side back up light, there was a huge dent the length of the trailer caused by someone who had the truck before me condition of truck was shotty at best. Had to drive all the way back to Cape to get another truck again there was no walk around and the girl gave me keys showed me where the truck was and took off before I could ask any questions. Poorly run location I understand places get busy but there was no reason the employees could not be at least somewhat professional. If I had known it would have been such a hassle I would have paid the extra money and used the Carbondale office which was a pleasure to work with when I had them look at the truck before I drove it back to Cape
