Overall my rental was a very good experience. I reserved the van online and it was ready when I arrived. One of the employees brought it around and started the A/C while I finished the very brief paperwork at the office. I drove the van 250 miles with no issues at all.

This location is rather rustic. Carved right into the woods with no paved parking. And just like my check in experience in Charlotte, the U-Haul app failed to allow me to upload the dash gauge photo documenting the mileage and fuel level, even after 3 attempts. Either fix the app or stop advertising it as a quick way to pick up/drop off your rental

Allow better scheduling. I made the reservation 2 months ago and chose a preference location 20 miles away from this one but somehow did not get my preferred location. A friend of mine made his reservation a month after mine picking up the same equipment and dates and was able to get the preferred location. This seems unfair and should be addressed for future customers.

I was coming from the Raleigh Durham airport and would have preferred a closer location. Plus the location was not visible from the road and the trucks were in between woods. In my opinion, it is not a safe location for an after hours pick up. Also, I had problems with the app since it would not allow me to take photos using Google Chrome? All of the customer service representatives, up to Steve a District Manager were very helpful, but it took over 90 minutes for them to assist me in obtaining the truck key from the lock box.

First of all this survey is a very weak attempt ( a few obvious questions without much true insight to the experience) to gain information that could improve customer service. Make me wonder if U-Haul really cares. Here was my experience. The online reservation was good. The early check in worked well. What didn’t work well was that my pickup location was changed to a location almost 10 miles further away and right in the middle of all the graduation (UNC, NC State, Duke) traffic that I was totally trying to avoid. This added almost 2 hours to my already long day. I was never called that the location changed, and was only notified the day before via email. When I called customer service they said the reason why was because this location was the only location that had a 10’ one way truck available. My original location had a 15’ truck available, and that wasn’t offered as a substitute. It get better…. When I go to pick my truck up all the new location had was 15’ trucks (which was given to me at the 10’ truck rate. Which was good). Question is why didn’t they let me just do that exact same thing the previous day. Let it be known that this bigger truck also burned more gas… Secondly the truck given to me was not in rental condition. First of all it was filthy dirty and covered in bugs. The windshield was extremely hard to see out of, and worst thing ever. No AC. I didn’t realize this until I had already packed the truck up and started to my new destination (road with windows open from rental to house location). This was a major issue because it was 93 outside for a 3 hour ride home…. Drop off location was nice, but didn’t offer much regret fullness for all the inconvenience. My guess this review will be dropped as well…..

My location kept moving for pickup when I wanted the location right next to my house. The pick up time was also moved to 515, but the owner of the location called me and said I had to come and pick it up earlier, because they closed at 5. Everything worked out. I think it was the systems fault and not the location, but that was my experience.

I ordered a ball and pin to tow trailer online with my rental they had no record of it but I was charged for it and had to buy a second ball and pin so I could use the trailer. 2 payments for only getting 1 ball and pin ridiculous and customer service is terrible can't reach anyone to get my money back

Uhaul's computer system crashed required reentry, I watched a guy go through 10 pages of slow loading to process with a lounge of people. Maybe fit more on a page and lower the data needed, faster servers.
