Retailers should provide a clear explanation of the truck‑return process. If a customer is returning a truck after store hours, the representative must walk them through every step so there’s no confusion. Additionally, if the company’s system is down, staff should inform the customer right away and offer an alternative method to complete the return. I was charged twice because of them!

The business was closed and no key was left

WILLIAM TThe truck looked fine when I picked it up. But it broke down half way through the trip. It was over 2 hours till I was back on my way. Because I arrived late, I had to pay the people waiting to unload the truck extra for waiting for the 2 hours. The mechanic detemined it was a computer error and was able to reset the computer. It seems from info online, there was a recall for this problem on this series of trucks. I would think U Haul would have had this taken care of at heat time. I thought U Haul might contact me to offer something for my losses due to the truck breaking down, but nothing yet, so I guess I'll have to contact them.
