Overall, both the self-check-in and self-checkout processes were good. I do have a few suggestions that could improve the customer experience. When booking the truck, customers shouldn't be given the option to check in at the counter if that option isn't available at that location. Fortunately, I had already downloaded the app, so the pickup process was relatively simple. My main feedback is about the return process. It was confusing because, after I parked the truck, the app displayed a thank-you message and instructed me to return the key to its designated lock. That made it seem like the return was complete. However, I decided to check the app one more time before driving away and discovered there were still additional required steps, including taking photos of the inside and outside of the vehicle and answering a few questions. It would be helpful if the app made it clearer that these steps are required before the return process is complete. That would help prevent customers from accidentally leaving before they have fully completed the return.

The location is fine, actually very convenient right next to a Wawa where you can get gas, and we were treated very nicely and professionally. My complaint is in regards to the pricing and all the hidden fees. You see the advertisements written on the vehicle: Rent me for $19.95, and that appears to be the actual rental fee. Then you buy insurance, just because you feel like you never know, which doubles the price, but still, it's $40. At the end of the day the bill was around $100, ASSUMING that we wouldn't stay within the mileage we had indicated. Why ask us in the first place?! When I returned the vehicle, the price was lowered by $20 because I had driven only 25 miles. So now I got a second receipt in the amount of $82.76, but the previous amount had already been charged to the credit card. Parts of the bill were a license recovery fee, an environmental fee, a rental tax, an NJ domestic security fee and then of course the $1.29 per mile charge. It will have to be a dire emergency before I rent a U-Haul vehicle again!
Frank NWell Done!
Dave BThey charged me for a cleaning fee and gas fee even though I returned the vehicle with more gas than when I received it, and left no trash or mess in the vehicle. They also tried to charge me for using over 300 miles when I used 55 miles. I was overcharged over a hundred dollars.
KELSEY BThe price was never disclosed to me when making the reservation or when going to pick-up. I had to ask after already providing my credit card info.
