When I attempted to start the car after loading our furniture it took me 10 minutes to get the car started .. it also took me 5 minutes to start the van after I stopped for gas . Very frustrating. The office personnel said they would note the problem

The salespersons in the office need customer service training. They are nonchalant and getting information is like pulling teeth. I was struggling to keep my balance with a box and one of the assistants looked directly at me and offered no assistance. I was an out of town customer. I made reservation for a truck and was told that there was 24 hour storage at the location. When I arrived at the location, I was told there was not 24 hour storage. I took the truck and moved my daughter. I incurred additional mileage because I had to drive the truck additional miles and I had to pay additional money to park the truck at special lot at the hotel I was staying. Additionally, the family members who came to assist me in moving could not help me and my daughter put her furniture in storage. The next day when I returned to the facility, I was informed that there was in fact 24 hour storage and that the salesperon knew it. I believe that the mileage and gas should have been given to me to compensate me for the deliberate misinformation provided. I have used Uhaul for.almost every one of my moves. However, this was the worst customer experience I have ever received at Uhaul. The location is conveniently located to DePaul University so for that reason, I would recommend the location.

The dude at the cash register seemed a little terse. Maybe he was having a bad day, or maybe that's just his personality. I won't stop renting, but my hope is that he's not on duty when I next try to rent.

The lady tried to overcharge me for the insurance. I was quoted $28 online but she tried to charge me $42. She didn't believe me when i told her until I pulled up the email. Very rude about it.

Movers I hired from UHaul website suggestions never showed up. Asked for moving pads, didn't get moving pads, but got charged for having them and losing them even though I never got them.

The location is in a busy area and it very hard to get in and out of the parking area. The number of agents was not sufficient. Including myself there were at least 15 other customers in line. More staff are needed to service customers at this location. In general, I am not pleased with the reservation process. I was unable to obtain any of the needed equipment at the local UHaul in my town, so a lot of precious moving time was spent driving all over to pick up equipment. There has to be a better way to organize to that customers can pick up at a nearby location.

Customer Service! My reservation was given to someone else. When one was found it was the wrong size for the vehicle I was towing because that information was deleted from my original reservation. This force me to drive 27 miles to the next location.

I was told the tank was at full. The needle was just to the left of the FULL tick, but I assumed that was just how the gauge was read. However, when I refilled the tank before bringing it back, the needle was to the right of the full tick. So I clearly did not have a full tank and ended up paying more for gas than I should have. I suppose I should have questioned the needle's initial location, but I assumed the people working there knew the gauge's better than me. I was wrong.

No fault of this location but i booked the same size at another location received a call the next day saying they would be able to provide a 17ft truck. showed up for the guy to be unprofessional and did not want to help me find the truck he said he could provide. had to call an uber to take to me to this location that i had to call and reserve myself.

I rented a truck here in June for a cross country move to Seattle. The truck was returned to a UHaul center in Seattle and overall it was a good experience up to that point. Subsequently, due to clerical issues at UHaul, this rental truck had been "returned" at two different locations in Kentucky and Texas and my credit card and been charged twice for a rental that was paid for and returned months ago. Somehow, my information is still linked to this truck and now my credit card keeps getting charged. I was able to get the first charge returned after several days and multiple phone calls to Uhaul corporate and to my credit card company. I just found out about the second recharge and am hoping that this is rectified soon. I wanted to post this review as a warning to other renters to pay close attention to your form of payment to insure that erroneous charges are not made from this company. I have moved numerous times all across the country and have used Uhaul each time, but I will no longer be using this company and will not recommend them to others anymore. The customer service that I have received in recent months is appalling and they have not once officially apologized or claimed any responsibility for this issues.
