The after 6pm on-line check-in process was awful. It took us 30 minutes to take all the photos required, get on-line, answer the questions...all in the dark and during a windstorm. We should have brought the truck back muddy before 6pm rather than go through this terrible process and have to pay an additional $29.95.

When a person has a reservation make sure the truck is ready to be driven. Windows should not have ice covering the front windows that may affect a person vision. Also the tires should be maintain with the right air pressure

The guy who gave us the truck didn’t explain anything to us about renting the truck as far as logistical things. He selected the miles for us saying “This should be enough” not knowing what we wanted . He didn’t go out to the lot with us to look at the truck for inspection before we drove it off the lot . He told us to mark the entire truck up. There also was a lock on the entrance where he took a extremely long time to unlock after seeing us out there .

I mean, it was a Uhaul that got the job done. Salute! However, I think Uhaul may want to consider updating the facilities on Cottage Ave. both inside and out. While the customer service person was friendly, the office was dark and dank as was the exterior of the building. Definitely needs better lighting in the back of the building. The truck also had about 50 "X" stickers on it, it had been banged up so much.

The U haul truck I rented didnt go over 20 at times, the truck also had a bad smell. I had call an talk to someone in the office about my issues with the truck, the person I talked to told me that it sound like the gears are stuck why would they give me a truck knowing the gears stick.

Better customer service skills.. a better fright elevator without the slow moving operator too run it. A ramp that compatible for all the trucks that you rent from them to move your storage on and off their trucks. Plus later hours.

Have the equipment on premise and available for the customer that rented it. Also, have the inside cabin where the driver and passenger sit, cleaned thoroughly. The inside was sticky and rubber gloves left over from a previous trip.

I tried to do "self-service" pick-up, but when I arrived the online service indicated that no equipment was assigned to my request. However, after speaking with an employee (who happened to be there early, and thankfully was willing to help me before they technically opened), she said that it assigned to me and that the key was outside. So I wasted almost an hour of time waiting, and wasting the employee's time, because for some reason the server was not aware that my equipment was ready. It was very frustrating, as there is no way to check beforehand that everything is OK. I have no idea if this is a fault of the location, or if this is a U-Haul website/system problem.
