Rick and everyone else I interacted with at this UHaul location were so easy to work with. Communication was clear and this team made the entire experience of moving suck just a little bit less :) They were hustling the weekend I came in, so I was expecting the worst, but I was so pleasantly surprised with everyone's professionalism, calm and friendly attitudes. When I got the truck, the gas and mileage on my signed copy wasn't correct. Courtni Giersh updated the paper copy that i had to reflect the correct amount by .2 miles and 1/8 of a taknk and said I needed the copy when returning to let them know. When dropping off, the employee checking me in said my gas and mileage wasn't correct. I explained the situation and showed her the paper contract. She said she couldn't do anything about it and I would have to go inside. There was a very long line inside and only one other employee working. When I got help, he seemed very reluctant to adjust the gas/mileage (I went 6 miles total and filled up 1.8 gallons of fuel to more than cover the distance. This situation seems like it could have been avoided if the contract was just updated in the morning after I picked it up instead of having to go through the whole mess up during drop off.

Windshield was very dirty directly I'm front of driver. Same as the last truck I rented form location. Fule tank was not full, as the paperwork stated. Same as last truck I rented. They at least took care of the fule issue.

Truck didn't have air conditioning and was running poorly. The truck smelled and ran hot. This location does not allow drop offs at other locations. This was not stated anywhere when making the reservation. This caused us to drive from the city to the NW suburbs back to the city. Not only inconvenient but also more $$$

Every time I use this facility they're fast, friendly, and on top of their game. I never spend more than 5 minutes picking up, and 3 dropping off.

Train your staff to actually be able to read a gas gauge! The women I checked it out from was very competent yet seemed extremely overworked and its no wonder considering her partner can't even read a gas gauge when I brought the truck back that evening. I only drove 13 miles, and yet somehow used over 4 gallons of gas, even after putting gas in the truck before bringing it back. I am annoyed at the excessive cost to me now because of your staffs incompetence. He should not be allowed to check trucks back in if he can't so much as read the gas level. I understand the $4/gallon gas charge when you don't fill it up, but what annoyed me the most was having JUST FILLED IT and still being charge for gas on top of everything else. This was my first time using UHAUL and next time I will just go to home depot! I appreciated that you guys based your rates off milage vs time (especially with Chicago traffic) but next time I will just be going to home depot, perhaps they will actually be able to read a gauge.

No fault of the location but I was very disappointed with the fact that I was told I could pick up a trailer in Plainfield only to have that reservation changed to Mokena and then later changed to Cicero and finally this location. I understand there is a high demand this time of year but your reservation system needs to be improved to not require the reservation to change 4 time and me having to drive 60 miles to pick up a trailer. Very disappointed with that. As for the location, I was thankful they had a trailer and convenient hrs to allow me to pick up in the evening.

There is one lady that works there. I didn't catch her name. I rented a 20' truck two consecutive days. She was there on the first day. She was very vocal on her frustration of customer's short comings after getting off the phone with a customer. Saying something to the effect of, " ugh, why can't people just read?!" And so on. Another uhaul staff member tried to quiet her down. She seemed impatient and frustrated with customers that day.In the two days I was there renting a truck, 4 people helped me. The other three were an absolute delight. Very polite, prompt. Even with a long line, They acknowledged each customer before attending to them. One made me feel important and held the for open for me. It exceeding my expectations as to the level of service. Another lady was informative and gave me tips on how to avoid miscalculating the amount of gas I put in the truck. Lastly, the debit pin pad and computers seemed to give them trouble, both days. The pinpad screen would get stuck. The computer would kick them out of a screen. Update the equipment for the staff. They were doing the best they could with what they had. Thank you.

Truck smelled like sweaty funk and interior surfaces were sticky. I suggest a quick Lysol wipe down between customers. Other then that minor thing, my experience was great yesterday

There was a ridiculously long line on the day I picked up the equipment with only one representative working at the desk in the store; I heard from other customers that it was like that earlier in the day as well. This is also probably the reason that it is near impossible to get through to the store directly on the phone and even more impossible to speak to the general manager or any type of manager that can help me with my issue. I had two reservations on the same day for this store, which the reservation phone contact helped me cancel one, but unfortunately some of the equipment/supplies with that cancelled reservation was not also cancelled. I have been calling multiple times for a few weeks now to get this resolved, but as mentioned above can not get through on the phone to anyone helpful and even some help line contacts have left specific messages on my behalf for the managers to contact me, but they still haven't. The only good thing about this experience was the truck itself which was nice, clean, ran well, and overall satisfied my needs. However I do not know if I would ever do business with this location or U-Haul in general again, only because of the issues I've dealt with regarding customer service.
