MARCI K | First Impressions1. Despite an online reservation, you gave away our storage unit prior to my arrival. 2. Despite completing everything asked online, I had to repeat registration components at the desk (uploading driver's license) which cause additional delays. 3. You provided a larger storage unit yet did not provide the same expected cost for the original reservation (as would have been a courtesy for your poor organization). 4. You demanded I buy your insurance as I checked in, which was another unaccounted for expense. 5. Your staff were polite and apologetic but clearly exhausted by the larger organizational mismanagement of this process. 6. There was a long line of customers waiting, like due to similar problems.
Jean D | First ImpressionsTerrible customer service all around. My code did not work to get in after hours. One of the first times I tried, someone was just locking up the office and refused to help me or even walk over to the key pad to speak to me. They yelled across the lot. When I rented a truck they told me I had to remove it from the parking lot immediately and could not wait for my movers to come, I had to come back with the movers and the truck. My storage was supposed to be free with a truck rental and they charged me anyways even after saying they will not charge me, they just needed a credit card on file. Terrible experience all around. Will never use again.

Hernan V | First ImpressionsMy storage unit was broken into and all my jewelry and jewelry making supplies were stolen. There was a gap in the wall of the unit next to mine where someone could fit through. There was no wire gate installed at the top to prevent someone from getting through. I requested the gate to be installed urgently and it was not until over a month later when I was about to move out. The manager was very difficult to get in touch with and didn’t have any concern or urgency about the situation. She did give me a month off my rent which i appreciated, but I had to really push for it. I felt like management didn’t care at all. I would never return to U-Haul for storage, it was a really horrible experience.
