This was a horrible experience top to bottom. Completely useless customer service. They make you park the car a block away which means you have to go back and forth when you check out. The 2 people I spoke to there were completely unhelpful and basically had me fidgeting around with the wrong truck. The app experience also sucks. It's really slow and instructions are not great. I am NEVER using U-haul again and I will be demanding a full refund

I was disappointed. There is no one at the site, and for someone unfamiliar with the procedures, it was confusing. In addition, and most importantly, I was originally picking up at the U-haul center in Evanston. I spoke with them personally to ensure that I had a newer version of the 15 U-haul since I was also transporting 2 U-boxes through the load share program from Evanston, IL to Mountainview, CA. The truck I received was older with older engine and a finicky transmission that struggled especially in Wyoming and Utah. In addition, the driver side mirror was loose and would not remain in place—I ultimately fixed this. And, the windshield was dirty with a poor glare in the sun—I purchased glass cleaner and microfiber towels to resolve.
